Seimeisen 4406 Posted March 10, 2015 As early as it may be to ask, would anyone recommend this album to first timers? I've only heard of these guys, but I don't think I've ever listened to them. And thank you @@herpes for the iTunes link.

And thank you @@herpes for the iTunes link. You should honestly check out dai5 to 7 before anything else. 6 is my personal favorite but you can't go wrong with any of them. 1 Seimeisen reacted to this
sads123 147 Posted March 11, 2015 I know I'm mostly biased when it comes to cali-gari but HOLY SHIT THE SAMPLES, MANNN http://tower.jp/item/3775552/12%EF%BC%9C%E8%89%AF%E5%BF%83%E7%9B%A4%EF%BC%9E tracks 3, 4, 6, 8, 10 giving me liiiiife Even the song that was live distributed only ("トゥナイトゥナイ ヤヤヤ") is re-recorded and sounds NOTHING like the original. I can feel the effort already :,) Now waiting for some kind soul to upload the album
Pretsy 1343 Posted March 11, 2015 Maaaann this is gonna be much better than a lackluster album that was "11"!!!!
Tokage 5930 Posted March 11, 2015 actually legit surprised they're using the saxophone guy so much, expected it to be like a 'yeah we got that shit on 1 track only, couldnt afford more' 1 Silverhawk33 reacted to this

And thank you @@herpes for the iTunes link. yes. it's fantastic. however most of their discography is. Depending on what you like most, check out dai7 (jazz), dai6 (funk), dai5 (almost gothy). 5 and everything before has their first vocalist (shuuji 1), who is much more punk influenced/dark sounding - however shuuji 2 re-recorded pretty much all the back catalogue when he joined. (Just stay away from 10 + 11 and you'll be fine.) 1 Seimeisen reacted to this
Tokage 5930 Posted March 11, 2015 Don't stay away from that mini-album released in between 10 and 11 tho, that one's actually good 2 Pretsy and herpes reacted to this
Peace Heavy mk II 7200 Posted March 11, 2015 I like =/= a lot, 2 (all 3 versions), 5, 6, and their non-shuuji stuff. Never actually listened to 9, 10, or Blue Film so I cannot comment on those.
Karma’s Hat 3107 Posted March 11, 2015 Don't stay away from that mini-album released in between 10 and 11 tho, that one's actually good Lol same I liked that one too. 10 is not completely abysmal either I thought, but 11 and subsequent live dist singles are some banal shite for shure. Actually now that I think of it, my favorite from them is probably the compilation of old tracks re-recorded with shuuji 2. It's fair to say that 8 and everything before that is worth hearing.
