  1. You're gonna be a busy one, good luck for coming up with your top 10 omg. AND holy shit I didn't know there'll be a new Gotsu Totsu Kotsu album!

I'm really looking forward the new Rudra, Furia and Vader albums. Btw I really enjoyed that EP from Furia, there's no way to be more metal than the way they recorded it hahah.

And yeah Saor's new album already leaked, gonna probably check it out in the next few days.

  2. The year is almost over and there's only a few releases remaining, and gotta say it was a great fucking year imo. Have you guys an idea of your top 10/15/20 albums of the year already? It's going to be impossible for me to make a top 10 seeing how many releases I absolutely loved, I'm gonna be forced to make a top 15 AT LEAST.

How would your 'top albums of the year' list look like so far?

  3. Okay, basically Danny left because he stopped caring about AA so... they brought Denis who doesn't want to tour with AA so... he left, and the vocalist who stopped caring is back. Makes sense tbh. I remember when Bruce stated (talking about Danny) "[...] He didn’t like screaming, he didn’t like heavy music, he didn’t like the fans, he didn’t like anything to do with AA.”

And yet he's back. Okay, why not. the most childish shit I've ever witnessed tbh but okay.

I honestly really enjoyed Danny's vocals on the "From Death To Destiny" album (and the album too, nothing spectacular but enjoyable), that said I'm not expecting anything from this band.

The only thing I'm joyfully looking forward is how is the band going to perform their latest album (and the previous ones) with a guy that doesn't like screaming, doesn't like heavy music, doesn't like the fans and anything to do with AA.

  4. The new album is great but... the production sound is weaker than it was in their previous album and that's such a disappointment for me. It's less impacting, sadly, but at least is just as good as their previous stuff. Great EP!

  5. I don't personally think that it's possible to find such thing because, talking about myself, I always dislike at least an/a artist/band in every music scene -let alone the songs. But obviously we all have our own predilection in everything... For example mine is melodic death metal and I'm always very likely to dig everything from it. But hey, if one day I find such a music scene, I'll probably be the happiest man alive!

  6. Only listened to Universal and Urd before, so yeah my bad lol. Still gotta check out the previous releases tho.

Forgot to point out that Moonsorrow release by the way, which I'm also looking forward to listen to. Can't wait!

Also, here's a complete list of all the metal releases I'm waiting for:

    - Gojira
    - Moonsorrow
    - Myrath
    - Rotting Christ
    - Schammasch
    - Tool (not sure tho)
    - Cirith Gorgor
    - Deströyer 666
    - Crimson Moonlight

This Cirith Gorgor song has me really hyped for the album.

These guys are getting better with each release, this is crazy. Solid release from Borknagar.

By the way I don't know if it was already mentioned on here but Rotting Christ already dropped some songs from their upcoming album "Rituals" (you can go check them out on their channel). It sounds solid as hell, one of the 2016 metal releases I'm looking forward the most.

Gojira also seem ready to kick some butts in 2016, they haven't dropped any previews yet but it's promising.

  8. What did y'all think about Trivium's new album?

I liked it a lot personally, I'd write a whole review but I've got plenty of stuff that keep me busy lately so I'm just gonna share a review from Metallum. I pretty much agree on everything that was written on here: http://www.metal-archives.com/reviews/Trivium/Silence_in_the_Snow/525116/

I'm just gonna quote the last section which perfectly sums up my thoughts:

Ultimately, that means Silence in the Snow is an album of consistent quality, rather than having any massive high points. But the band is undoubtedly inspired and vital here, and they've created a very enjoyable set of songs that tap into their influences while still putting a uniquely Trivium spin on them. It's nice to hear Trivium in this context, a big step forward from their last two efforts and clearly the second-best album of the band's sneakily long career.

Thing is that I wouldn't consider it the second best album, rather the 3rd best probably

  9. I find myself a bit underwhelmed by DOGMA after all, the midsection of the album is to blame - it gets sort of weaker after how good the album starts. Don't get me wrong though, it's the best album they've ever recorded along with NIL and DIM and light years better than Beautiful Deformity. But I had high expectations that were above of what the album actually provides. Aside from that the album is solid af, goes HARD as hell. Now I just need more spins in order to figure out what just happened.

Special mention for DEUX, got mind blown by that song. It literally had me like:

As I said, I highly rate DOGMA and put it in the top 3 of their best albums. I still have to figure out what place it's gonna take in the top 3 though.

Rating: 8.5/10. Thank you, the GazettE. I always had faith in you.
