I signed up once too long ago and then got busy and completely forgot my login stuff so let's try this again.
I like all kinds of music, including rock music, all kinds of Jpop/rock, and then including visual kei, which brings me here; I love Penicillin and X Japan with assorted solo and spin-off projects, Laputa, Kagrra, and all kinds of other bands but here are some names for intro purposes.

I saw this interesting make-up tutorial, and I wanted to try the eyeshadow she showed in it. Normally I don't use eyeshadow, so of course the make-up session turned into taking-selfies-and-photoshopping hour.

In my post I pointed out how the many of the very first VK releases had Western styled titles with similar themes to get attention.
So how is this new or changing anything? And X Japan are far more 'respected' than pretty much any band.
VK and Rock always had an air of doing whatever you want, and defining your own sense of what is cool, rather than just trying to fit in. Yet when any band tries something different, or comes out with a loud title or look, people bash them for not following the status quo.
People also complain about bands looking too similar but when someone does something that stands out they are the target of all negativity.
Another popular thing is to compare them to other people to say they are copying someone as if that completely demerits them.
Japan, VK, Rock and music in general are centered around taking old things and recycling them into new products, yet this only applies as criticism to certain bands who are not in the 'cool books'.
IMO this band is way better than all the negativity they get, and there is nothing new about this title, but obv. It somewhat works as this thread as of my typing this has more replies and views than UNiTE.'s thread, which has way more content for a more popular band.

I finally told my dad that I think he's pretty cool.  I'm bad at sharing ~emotions~ or w/e, so I'm glad I finally was able to tell him.  Our relationship has gotten really good recently, so that's good too.  We didn't used to talk a lot.

My friend (hiroki) actually told me about this forum quite a while back, but after joining I didn't really do anything much here.
Maybe a few might have noticed me starting to like some posts here recently.
So, here's a rather late introduction post.
I listen to mostly v-kei and j-rock music. I like a lot of songs from many many bands but the current ones at the top of my list at the moment are:
- Plastic Tree (my all-time favourite band + most number of CDs/DVDs collected + most of number times attending their concert + most number of merchandise owned)
- Royz (always liked their songs, but became one of my top after experiencing their concert first-hand in Taiwan)
- Kagrra, (really liked their unique style. it never gets old)
- vistlip (i find that their songs always have a certain elegance to them, and Tomo's vocals is really one in a million)
- ZUCK (amazing band despite being reduced to a duo before they disbanded. I can literally just loop their songs for the whole day and not get sick of it)
- SID (Mao + Aki = legendary. enough said.)
- Anfinit (a very recent addition, literally just within the past 12 hours - after hiroki linked me one of their songs on Youtube. Simply fell in love with the vocals.)
I'm from Singapore. Honestly, I'm not much of a posting-messages-in-forums kind of person, but I do read threads here every now and there, and you might notice me "liking" certain posts.
Maybe I can (hopefully) make some friends here with similar music tastes.

Btw, none of these titles are more edgy, foreign, or just plain stupid than releases by X Japan, Buck Tick, or Hide, for example.
It was always a part of heavy rock music, and IMO is cooler than song titles with 20 obscure kanji, or some 'poetic' sentence about a flower.
A title is just a way to get attention, and it is working for BORN and Sadie, despite them being the bands that it is cool to hate.

I like music of all types, and honestly don't know much about visual kei and etc. However, I don't consider myself an "expert" on any type of music, so... i should, but they are good to me. plus i think it's what the universe wants, like i was getting close to grieva then whoop Dahlia gets shared. also kinda wondered what they would sound like like with metal again then bam, ドグラマグラ,  Akujo no Hohoemi and part of Dorei to Kubiwa.
