First off, as stated by others, the visuals in the video are amazing and create the literal "ominous" feeling that fit the music.  I can respect a band that goes out of there way to reflect the feeling of their concept in their music videos in addition to the music itself.
 
My favorite feature of the song was the non-traditional structure that the band explored on the track.  I can't help but compare it to Dir en grey as it reminds me of structures in Arche, where defined choruses are not entirely clear and bridges/solos are placed in non-predictable places, creating an exciting journey that left me interested in what was coming next.
 
The production quality was outstanding and created an impressive atmosphere with headphones.  The use of sampling really set the tone of the song, and the variation of instrumentation, mixing acoustic and electric instruments, kept it interesting.  I especially liked the way the acoustic guitars floated into the opening verses and the "True Dread" sampling in the center of the song.
 
However, in terms of vocal lines, there were no real memorable melodic hooks I noticed after the first few listens.  For this, there were moments the song dragged on.  Consequently, my overall impression of the song was not entirely positive.
 
Despite this, I admire the clear focus of the band to create a song that is outside of their standard comfort zone.  I wish that the closer wasn't the first track we heard were properly presented, as I think it will reduce the impact of the album in context after the first, formal listen.  I'll forgive that though, since I can't resist sampling it.
 
Of course, I am stoked to hear the entire album.  In all, I'd give this a 6/10 score.  There was enough experimentation to keep my interest, but no moments memorable enough to make me fall in love.

I dunno, musically I thought it was good, alright, but I think Ruki just doesn't make great melodies any more. His choruses don't catch my attention. Especially on slow songs. Since Division they're all executed similarly in progression and structure. Very flowy and flat.
I do agree that this is probably one of the most solid songs they've released in a while. The first 1:30 seconds are really great. They've definitely nailed integrating electonics with their Gazerock and props to them for struggling through and sticking with new musical elements. They really wanted it and fought hard for it.

This is what I've been waiting for since DIM. Still not getting my hopes up as this band has a way of destroying them but for now I can place expectations for DOGMA above "absolute pile of shit". Which is always a great thing.
Also, is it just me or does the pretentious art-school motif of OMINOUS PV remind anyone of another ballad like promotional PV?


But hey if they took inspiration from ARCHE this album's already shaping up to be something promising.

Ehh, we'll see... I'm not too convinced by this just yet (doesn't feel like anything exciting), but it is the closing track, so maybe I'll like it better in an album context.
 
Also, gotta mention my pet peeve how I hate it when bands reveal the last track of their albums in advance, where's the fun in that? XD

Knowing that his "main colleagues" a.k.a MOON CHILD drummer and Koba are there, it is less likely that this will end up as some sort of "nu-DEG"-kind of thing (your definition sounds like something Kaoru would rather do than Die himself...since Kaoru's the "main tailor" of Dir's sound after all):
 
- Both Kashiyama (drummer) and Kobayashi ("guest" guitarist) are rather huge brit rock/shoegaze enthusiasts (common favs including Ride, The Smiths, The Cure...you can get the gist already in case you know these)
- Die always used to be the person behind the most melodic (Kaishun) and rather "alt. rocking" (I suppose "Wake" counts as one) numbers in DEG repertoire (i.e. definitely not a "metal" person, nor a person with "complex" tastes)
- Both Die and Kobayashi seem to be a lot into exploring various guitar trickeries and riffages, and their traits on that matter make them really stick out well in their respective bands 
- Marine-colored, foil-based room scenes are not doing much in case they want to express what you just called "more watered down Sukekiyo"-effect (most artsy bands aim to expand and clarify their "visions" by adding a lot to the visual effect as well, see: sukekiyo's "Aftermath" PV)
 
All in all, ender's expectations (I suppose mine too) are more likely to happen according to the factors I expressed above.

After Liquid, and their album recommended by @TheStoic, I'm really excited for this

Defiantly want that live DVD since it has all of the tracks off of "Psycho Monsters" which was an underrated album.

After hearing them in the recent releases list recommended by Fitear1950, I tried their Liquid single out and adored it.  After checking out their other releases and loving them, I can't wait to hear this.

I think it's a bit too early to be saying stuff like that considering we haven't even heard how he sounds yet aside from some backing screams/shouts at DEG lives. At least wait until we've heard something from the band before deciding whether you'd rather have him singing or not.

Sad news, but not a surprise. They've always been such an underrated long-time active VK band.
Their best era to me was back in 2006-2007. "azure" will always be one of my top favorite VK songs ever made.

AKT(ex-HATED-->meth.-->404NOTFOUND-->Sevenlize(Akito)) & TKY(ex-NAINE(Takuya)) new CD (type & title not yet finalized) will be released in 2015 summer, which is planned to include 4 songs, although details have not yet been announced
