 I read the lyrics of " what's up ? " and i feel like the song is about their musical and visual change and how people complain about it xd

It's true, but the band always have the final word. They did this choice consciously

Considering the musical direction they took, it's so strange the absence of Bass. It has no presence in the mix, only some kind of " sub " very low sound behind every instruments.

But man.. it's so groovy, the bass need to groove their. My first reaction with the first song was : ' it feels empty '.

I hope they will find at least a new bassist and come back to a more emotional side

Their visual is like their last shooting, the 3 of them on a chair. So no big surprise but i like , simple but good

I actually kind of like some features of their approach to alt-metal, but let's be honest, they've been doing pretty much the fucking same since their first release, to say quickly: every western nu-metal/posthardcore cliché driven by the gothic-hypermelodic visual kei trademark that hits the choruses, alternated in the setlist with Luna Seaesque post-punky ballads. That's why I love them, and that's also why I love, don't know, ~10 or so songs by them, and definitely fucking skip the whole rest of their huge discog with zero regrets because, hey, when I say it sounds the same it's LITERAL (God knows I tried to 'find' some actual deep musicianship into it...). The situation remains so literal that lynch is to me one of the best and yet mysterious examples of bands that are formed by seemed talented people, also do pretty well in their bussiness, but paradoxically deliver low-quality releases 90% of their time.

 

All this said to ask you why would you care much on whether this may be a cool release or not.

So agree with this... They have " some " good songs but wow so many songs sound the same.  ( Not something we could say to a band like Mucc for example ) And yes their success is really surprising, maybe there is a good marketing behind.

Yes i feel tiring too for this metalcore kind of production almost all bands have... ;/ 

For example their song " Lament " is really a brilliant composition. But this mixing doesnt fit, it's overcompressed there are no air. I would listen to it even more if they could keep some dynamic. ( I think it's ryo trackmaker produce their songs )

Anyway with all of their make up it's difficult to guess 😅

For the moment there are no sound of their new compositions right ? So let's just wait and judge with our ears

It's a the VK version of Bring me the Horizon haha but i like.

I think if you play the same song with a real drummer and a bassist it would sound much better, more powerful. I felt like his voice is too good for this instrumental

it's not because it's soft that it's bad.. it's just a very basic song, they can do much better

The more i listen the more i like it... the sound production is also very impressive.

Have to agree also on the improvement of Takeo over the year, he developed his personal drumming style

I think they often do this kind of contrast between sections. Kind of dark and light

For me i would say ' Faith ', the most coherent and impactful release to date
