Mode of Kisou? Don't know what this means but I'm excited.

I take selfies like two per year
and generally I'm not shaved and wearing glasses.

Gara from Merry now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
I want to steal your heart, your face, your body, your voice, your breath, I want all of you
Somehow I fall in love with you, I've accepted with resignation
Thats why at least for now keep looking only at me and hold me tightly
As the desk lamp embrace us with its light, our fake love story unravels
I hush my voice and escape from reality
All I can see is past
I snuggle up to my pain and suffer without a word
Please, name my heart
Please, name my sadness
My wounded heart started to ache suddenly
What am I lacking?
Please, just tell me
Even though there's no hope for me
It might be the end...So will you hear me out?
I hope to reach you...
There's no comfort for me...My slight hope fall like blossoms...
I was reluctant to part, I was overwhelmed by a flood of emotion
I looked up so my tears wouldn't fall...
My mother cried
Tonight I feel very lonely...
It might have been a girlish thing to do...
But as I thought about my family...I cried...
And Gekisei

Been listening to this a lot lately, and this might be Wrest's best work till now, and his vocals are so fucking good. Easily his best performance ever.
And I really like the Krieg homage 4.30 into Within Thrall. The Sick Winds Stir the Cold Dawn!
Scar Sighted is for sure finest moment of Wrest career, alongside with his debut and Massive Conspiracy Against All Life. (IMO)
I'm not sure for the reference since Krieg isn't really my thing. But the most outstanding moment for me in the whole record is that crazy demented vocals at 2:53 of Dawn Vibration. Shit, that was one of the most sick-depraved-disturbed-deranged things I've ever heard. That was some serious Bethlehem shit.
Speaking of, I've finally give myself time for listening to the last Psychonaut record released last year. They're definitely keeping up with the legacy created by Lifelover.

Fantastic thread! Water/earth sign people will enjoy this, perhaps.
Well, considering the title of the thread, this is the first song that came to mind:
One band that has also come to mind is Anathema. Its almost like they're this concept band about all sort of fellings. Love, loss, despair, personal struggles, this are some of my favorites:
There's a bunch of folk/singer-songwritter stuff that really gets me. Cat Power, Fiona Apple, Jeff Buckley, Sufjan Stevens, Leonard Cohen, Sharon Van Etten and so on. Chelsea Hotel is problaby the first song that came to mind.
Gackt's Love Letter is pretty much a album consisting entirely of pop-folk ballads. I'm pretty sure there's a dozen of those by Glay, too. And Lareine and Malice Mizer had the tendency of create pretty romantic feels with their songs.
Slowdive sounds pretty romantic to me. I often used to daydreaming about Alison playing in my wedding.
And i couldn't leave this post without citing the most heart wrenching song about break up:

Welcome! Good taste, Lareine was my vk sweetheart when I was 14. 8D
Enjoy.

Great taste, dude. I've rarely see people commenting on old vk stuff, your tumblr is amazing! Great discovery. I don't understand spanish 100% but considering the similarities with portuguese I'm fine with it.
Cheers, mate. Enjoy the forum.

Some recent bands that kind of have that 90s emo/post-hc/screamo vibe:
Balance and Composure
Touche Amore
Piano Becomes the Teeth
Dikembe
Modern Baseball
Snowing
Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely State)
Crash of Rhinos
Joie De Vivre
Not quite new, but great: This Town Needs Guns. Kind of emo/math-rock, really good band
Very underrated band: I Hate Myself. Powerful and painful songs like this one
This one too

the best record of all time.

timeless classic

Welcome! Great taste.

@saishuu I absolutely FUCKING LOVE Sufjan Stevens. I discovered him while I was in my last year of high school, so, there's a really special place in my heart. Illinoise is easily one of the most beautiful records i've listened. John Wayne Gacy Jr really touchs me in a deep level.
Since CAT cited THE NOVEMBERS, I remembered a few songs by them I really love.

Mono song are extremely powerful and cathartic for me, without even having a single word they put me in a very emotional mood. Especially the ones in " Hymns to the Immortal Wind." Ashes in the Snow and Follow the Map, as a example.
And I seconded your thoughts on envy, Tetsuya screams are extremely emotinal in a way that I really can't remain indifferent to it. One specific song that touches me in a deep levell is "A Far-Off Reason" from the split with Yaphet Kotto and this Machine Kills. The building crescent intro just kills me.
Not being the proper band themselves, but some FAKE? and Oblivion Dust songs are really beautiful.
This'll sound cliche as hell but let me the first to say Dir en grey. Akuro no Oka, Zakuro, Hotarubi, Mushi, Undecided, Glass Skin, Namamekashiki, Ware, Yame Tote, Vanitas... is really redundant citing them but fuck.
Merry's Gekisei, also.
And outside of Japan there's Sigur Rós and Elliott Smith.
EDIT: Kagerou really put me in a STRONG emotional mood for you all know the reasons ;/
And I forget Plastic Tree, really sweet and beautiful slow songs since the beginning. Spica, Yuki Hotaru, Harusaki Sentimetal, Aoi Tori, Kuuchuu Buranko, Hello, Sanatorium, Saishuu Densha...God damn, there's so many! But the most touching for me is Andro Metamorphose.
