I know, DELUHI was and probably still is my favourite VK band ever. And WHITE HOLE is an amazing track. Just having a laugh.
 
Also, +1 to 'more Japanese'.

Hi-res sounds better than iTunes, using Audio Technica studio headphones, a Dragonfly DAC and correct playback settings.
 
24-bit does not sound any different to 16-bit.
 
This is because 24 or 16 bits refers to the bit depth, not the bit rate, and on the vast majority of recordings (excluding perhaps orchestral music) the only difference is 8 bits of noise. There is no way we could truly take in the full audio range of 24-bit music without turning up the volume so high it would essentially be fatal (because of course decibels refers to pressure). That's why when making CDs, the remaining bit depth is simply filled out with inaudible noise frequencies. And this is even before all kinds of filtering and editing that go on in the studio.
 
Simply, there is no such thing as a perfect digital representation of music recorded in analogue sound, which is why even the studio files will probably sound no different to the CD itself. So those extra 8 bits of depth are incomprehensible to the listener.
 
For recording music, go 24-bit. For listening, 16-bit is more than enough for 99.9% of listeners.

This is decent. Nothing mind-blowing, but nothing like the worst thing to ever happen to VK. I don't get all the hate YOHIO and co receive from foreign fans, if anything we should be excited that 'outsiders' are actually attempting to make a name for themselves in an essentially exclusively Japanese music scene.

Yeah, it's crazy how much support they have for an entirely new band with no veterans from the scene. Not many indies VK bands can hold a free concert, collaborate with a clothing brand and organize their first one man within 6 months despite their only releases being live limited. AND their latest single, albeit limited to X copies, sold out on pre-orders and day one purchases alone, while only being sold through indies VK record shops. Crazy.

It was announced at リベリオ ファン感謝祭 mini free one man (2/3) that their new single (title unconfirmed) will be released on 5/31 nationwide (not live-only). Details of the single and in store events will be revealed at their 1st one man 'RESISTANCE TO DESPAIR' on 4/29.
 
They played at least 2 unreleased songs tonight.

Just thought I'd mention while I remember, Yoshiatsu said at their 2man final with Grieva last week that they haven't decided on the tracklist for the new mini yet because there's a lot of songs they want to record. Something along the lines of 'we need to include this song... but what about this one...' (KIDS WAR? Please?)
 
Also, they're shooting a new PV this week.
