I ain't Japanese and don't know a whole lotta about the Japanese fan perspective but I image female fans probably dislike female band members the same way westerners dislike western VK bands. Doesn't matter if they are competent musicians or singers, they're still gross and not what they like about VK (it's the wang). VK is definitely a scene marked towards girls and for the women trying to be a part of it. It is probably totes more difficult for them than just joining a normal band. Male bands already have hard enough time getting off their feet and selling chekis and swag and other crap, I imagine female bands it's harder because the fickle girls don't want to see a bunch of fugly make up girls sing on stage because they ain't gonna bone them.

I bought The GazettE album STACKED RUBBISH. I really liked the single Filth in the Beauty and so I thought, hell if this song is good then the album must be good! Right! RIGHT!?!?! NOPE! WRONG! OMG worse life choice made ever! I wish I could beat up Ruki and get my $60 back because fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu Japanese CDs are so expensive and I rage so hard when I buy a bad Japanese CD.
I also bought ClearVeil's album Re:born because it's cheaper to buy a UC album then all the singles since UC albums usually just consists of all their singles and maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! Did it suck! I also raged all over the place because it was such a humongous waste of money. I ended up giving it away.
Deathgaze The Continuation is another, I was all super excited for it since I liked earlier Deathgaze releases but it was pretty boring and got old fast. I didn't really rage about this, I guess since I had heard these songs all before I don't know why I was expecting so much out of it. I know what I was getting so that was a dumb purchase. I also gave this away to a friend because I couldn't even bother to find the energy to sell it. I just wanted it out of my house ha!

Conditional disbandments.

I don't understand the motive behind it. I don't understand what it's supposed to accomplish. I don't get how it became popular to pull. But every so often I'll hear of some no-name band claim that if x amount of people don't show up to their next live they'll quit. It's only no-name bands as well! A band that makes conditional disbandment threats is like a teenager throwing a tantrum because they didn't get the new iPod. Yeah, you may get what you want but I still think less of you.

Is it money trouble that's forcing you to do this? The scene invented a better, less overtly douchebaggy way of getting money out of fans. That's called live-distributed material. Record a song, press about 100 to 150 discs, advertise that disc at one particular live, and then sell it. You invest minimal money into the materials and you get money both off the tickets AND the CD sale. Plus, fans get new music out of it. Win-win for everyone. Do that instead if you need money.

Are you throwing a tantrum to get some attention, like "oh that band might quit if not enough people show up"? There's a better way of garnering attention. It's called make better music. I don't understand why I'm supposed to give a fuck about the future of your band because of some arbitrary decision based around some arbitrary number. What are you going to do if you're off by one or two?

For as much as I don't like/respect Nocturnal Bloodlust, they don't do this and if they don't no band should. They saw that they needed to attract more money/fans and they made the moves to do it. If you're at the point where you're telling all your fans to show up and bring a friend or you won't continue to play music, just stop. Clearly no one cares.

I really liked The Gazettes Division, especially the second disc I think? Not 100% sure since I got the regular one so.... on that the first few tracks feat. GazeStep. Not a huge fan of the slower songs on the second half (or first disc??? so confusing man) II get halfway through the slower songs and then I just switch off. Some of them I really like but it begins to trail off towards the end
And a lot of people have regained a tiny bit of hope in them since Beautiful Deformity, but I listened through it once and...not since. It just didn't catch my attention at all and I can't even remember how any of the songs went. I'll probably listen to it again to *ahem* confirm this >< or not... you never know

I mostly just like to knock MEJIBRAY to get at their hysterical fans but I agree not every song is a Gazette cover but there's plenty that are or just heavily influenced by Gazette.
 
But also agree that the argument that you dislike a band because of the fans is pretty poor excuse to not like something because you want to be a unique snow flake. If I disliked a band because of the fans I wouldn't be a fan of Visual Kei then since I dislike most VK fans.

I listened to them a bit more and my opinion has done a 180. The D.I.D versions are much more powerful i think i prefer the original Amaryllis too...mainly because of that sweet pinch harmonic in the verse Lilley of the Valley is actually really good, you should give it a try
