So one new song out of the 2nd mini-album. I'm glad that they're releasing the 2 live distributions on it as well.

I don't mind the engrish at all. I don't think I can imagine putting in the Japanese equivalent of the word they're using, replacing the lyric at all. Like if Panic Channel Re-Recorded Pink Cherry or SPARKING into entirely Japanese. Like I replay different variants of what they could be saying in Japanese, in my head, trying to fit it into the melody of the song and it doesn't work out at all. Though it does get weird when they combine the words into one non-existent weird.

I'm still praying for them to psyche us out with an actual album on April 1st.

At first my name was Pogo on here(like going up and down cowgirl/reverse cowgirl(Im a huge slut D: )) Then I changed it to Jrockdrama because back when VK was more overseas popular, there would be lots of bitches fighting over like every little thing about bands, so I was like Jrockdrama sounds nice.

DragonWAPPPPPPER: I really liked the name and found out nono and P(both at the time ex.HeaRt(which is basically v(neu) before the name change) where in the band. So when I had the chance to buy their first single, I immediately bought it and it was love at first listen.
Panic Channel: My friend showed me them back in High School. I immediately fell in love. Also they're the very first band I ever bought a CD of! 新人戦 ~夢に向かって 編~, I kinda blame them for making me an addict in buying shit from my favorite bands.
FULL EFFECT': I had a couple of their songs and thought nothing of it. Then I heard the acoustic version of happy life and I was dying to hear more, then I heard more and was immediately a stan.

SET-LIST at 2015/01/06:
03.O.G
O.G Kush. I would totes stan this band if one of their new songs is called Girl Scout Cookies.

They're gonna have no guitarist D: I hope they don't disband.

Didn't know about フレンドシップ being released, but he did mention a mini-album in 2015.
動員になって being released before おっぱいのうた too ;/ For the love of Odin, please no more live solds EVER

The Divide - The Sun: Worshippers. Shazam is your best friend.

A band I remember since they started. I liked everything until poplar. Then a few major singles were good. After Sun'z up, never really cared. Sad to see them go though. And I'm really getting tired of these hurr durr, they're not good glad they're disbanding bs etc Taste is subjective, and not everyone likes the same music.

My head bursting open call a doctor and オカルト better be on this! it's released on April Fools day too! What if it was an Album, like you buy the mini, and when you receive the CD, it's like "SURPRISE BITCH! YOU GET AN ALBUM" jdklfjlkajflkasjlksjdj Oh gawd

That sucks. They were actually getting back on track after that mess called Initium. Heven isn't as good vocalist as Zaku, but he worked for them. They still have a lot of unreleased songs too D: So I at least hope for an album.

Anything by:
モダン組曲
the Vambie
AI-版
Secret Circus
Rosario
Would fall into that category, since they base their sound around that.
Songs that I can think of off the top of my head is:
姫苺 - Sherry?
J∀CK11 - 拝啓カジノ支配人たま
xTRiPx - BREACH.
One trend I can think of is the mid to late 00's heavy bands being mostly numetal and of course the koteosa bands.
-
I admit I haven't followed them after they released Disturb da border, but they are one of those bands you're sad to see go. A lot of fond memories (listening to limpid [re:birth in the stripe version] right now)

Anygays, supposing all bands were good and had decent music/looks/PVs, are you against the fact that they don't sing in japanese ? In my opinion they should all sing in english, because it helps with the globalization stuff and they don't sound much like weebs. What do you think ?
If they had good music, I would be on board. I wouldn't care if they sung in any language. But what most of them were playing were not appealing to my ears at all. I listen to every genre of music, so I don't discriminate against any type of sound. Just things that aren't appealing to my ears.

I had a few chuckles and wtfs at some of the "visuals" some bands had. Overall I think MaleRose got the whole look and sound right, but no one would curr because they're Thai, then second would be MEA. The rest was like were they even attempting at costumes or just throwing shit together and putting on make up and are like we're a vk band now! VK bands invest a shit ton in their costumes if they don't know how to sew or don't know anyone willing to do it for free! And did Ninjaman Japan lose a bet to be on this DVD?

Nobody asked the most important question yet: WHERE IS POST-BRITPOP KEI?!?!?!
I think anything that comes close to that is MayDay

"Koteosa kei"? Did some mini-Oshare fangirl circle invent this or does it really have a legit, "professional" background? (e.g. being discussed in mags, by critics and alike etc.)
Koteosa is an accepted style which is basically already dead. The last one I know of that was really popular was Paradeis. Just think of kote kei costumes and throw in color.
Discussions and questions about different variants of VK being asked and answered with examples.
