First time I'm actually irritated by Tsuzuku's voice... dat chorus, omg no. Otherwise interesting/different song but kinda plain.

Yesss, Arui wa Anarchy totally deserves a mention here! While it's not their best work, I was really (pleasantly) surprised that they can still pull off such a solid album so late in their career. Also, gotta echo the previous sentiments about Seventh Heaven and Aku no hana, those are close seconds for me.

^ It took an extremely long amount of time for me to appreciate OLOD, but SSL is a truly unique and interesting chapter in B-T's discog, that's for sure! Gotta love the totally cold, otherworldly and at times minimalistic feel of the whole album. Not to mention that the live DVD that record spawned is one of their best!

Been spinning some Meth Drinker recently, absolutely filthy and crushing sludge/doom. Reminds me a bit of Eyehategod, but without the punky influences. Incidentally, they'll have a gig here in a few weeks, will definitely try to catch them! By the way, I tried out that Alucarda album -- excellent dirty-sounding stuff, just what I needed!

It's official: the new album will be released at the end of September, possibly on 25th. All the instrumental parts have been recorded, only the vocals are left. The record should have 16 tracks, supposedly. can't waittt~

Irvine Welsh: Porno - Sequel to Trainspotting, and more or less equally excellent so far. Welsh really struck gold with this trilogy it seems. I'll never tire of reading about the crazy lives of these losers, haha. Michael Gira: The Consumer - I realized that I probably will never own a real copy of this short-story collection, so reading it in PDF format now, lel. Just what I expected: weird, disgusting, twisted, nightmare-like. Maybe a bit 'over-written' but still interesting. Oscar Wilde: The Picture of Dorian Gray - Can't say much about it, since I've only just begun reading it but seems to be decent. So many quotable witty remarks too, heh. So far so good.

Strangely enough, I've never particularly liked most J-metal I've heard so far - Church of Misery is the exception, who SLAY tho (both on record and at live shows). Anyone who begins their first album like this (skip to 1:25ish) is my hero.
