^ Ahh yes, Cinema Strange are great! Also, gotta love that Desireless song / whole album. <3 New wave has always been a pretty wide category for me, so not really sure how to best encompass it actually... when I think 'new wave' I usually think of stuff like Gary Numan, Japan, New Order, and I guess Duran Duran fits in there just fine too!

Horrible horrible dumb as fuck song (as expected sadly), but lovin' the video! Their official site, however, has snippets of two more tracks too and I gotta say I'm kinda digging those -- so ridiculous that they're almost great.

^ I don't think we'll see the full versions anytime soon, since none of the singles came with a DVD... I'm guessing they're saving up another batch of PVs to release another PV-collection DVD sometime in the future (maybe next year?).

The new Nile album is coming (and their Europe tour too!), so stoked!! The album cover: https://scontent-fra3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/v/t1.0-9/11012138_10152823349946016_4901468290915312267_n.jpg?oh=9c5c67557b76ce877f2b04125867ca6f&oe=55C8D36A

I love how RYO:SUKE always manages to make the electronics an integral, actually cool part of his songs, rather than just a tacked-on afterthought (even if his music isn't anything mindblowing). Quite a few bands should take notes... All in all, another solid A-side, awesome! Cool concept and video too.

This must be the actual photo of the members without makeup and photoshop effects.

^ A bit different in style, but you might like クウチュウ戦 (Koochewsen). Their mini album was upped here on MH not long ago! Listen for yourself:

I love how the slightly cheesy but still intriguing movie-thing goes into this totally generic-ass and boring sample... my excitement just dropped to below zero, l m a o.

I guess it's okay kinda~ Random: just got home from seeing Agent Side Grinder. What an amazing band! They mix dark Joy Division-ish atmosphere with New Order-like arrangements and some hints of minimal industrial and synth-pop. I didn't think they would sound so awesomely 'mechanical' -- no wonder, 3 out of the 5 guys on stage played some kind of synth / tape loop / machinery / metal percussion / noises. So cool to see & hear, it was very '80s, haha. Catch them while you still can, they're still on tour for a few more days (one French and a couple of Czech dates left).

I must say I'm pleasantly surprised by the new D'ERLANGER album. Couldn't have thought they'd bounce back after the somewhat mediocre #Sixx. Cool stuff! #oyajisdoitbetter

Apparently Gotsu-Totsu-Kotsu (pretty neat death metal with "Japanesque" themes and sick bass lines) released a new album this year? Sweet.

^ Yay, someone else listens to Belgrado~ <333 So good!
-
Ah yeah, that was a cool movie! Tough to compare them, since they're very very different but A Girl... was high-quality atmospheric stuff. Still, Max reigns supreme for me, for now.

Holy shit, dat new Mad Max movie. I don't say stuff like this often, but this was easily the most visually amazing and intense film I've ever seen. Also, gotta love how the action is non-stop basically, and the world is so well-crafted and detailed. Had they fucked up the story and the characters, it would still be a pretty impressive flick -- thankfully, they didn't, so it was all 10/10 for me. I'm just sad that the year is not even half done, and I definitely won't see another movie that will top this.

Before entering this thread I hadn't heard a single song by Chanty... fast-forwarded into the vid above, could tolerate it for 3 seconds. So yeah, Pentagon gets my vote. They aren't anything mindblowing, but they're at least listenable.

Dunno if this is any good but: http://www.tenso.com/en/ (they advertise themselves as being cheaper than other services iirc)

New Cattle Decapitation album out on August 7. DAMMIT, MY BODY IS SO READY. Random fun fact: Phil Anselmo will be doing some guest vocals on one of the tracks~
