Apparently Kyary dressed up as David Bowie today for some Halloween fun~
-
At least we have some new info, thanks.

^ Yeah, the last one had about that amount of PVs, so I'm definitely awaiting some sort of release announcement at their oneman (as they usually do xD).
-
Thanks to @Lestat for calling my attention to this gem... these guys from Hollywood could've fooled me, they almost look and sound like some old proto-VK metal band on a revival kick - so cool! Also, on their official site they actually acknowledge that they were inspired by X Japan, among other classic '80s rock/metal bands.

Watched Night of the Demon last night, pretty cool movie indeed! I was a bit let-down that they showed the demon already after like 8 mins, tho it did look decent. I think the spookiness and ambiguity (science vs superstition) would've been much greater if they didn't show the creature in the beginning, only maybe at the end. Anyway, other than that I was entertained, great atmosphere all around.

^ They released 2 PV collections so far on DVD, the last one being a year old (2014/10/01)... so I'm guessing we might get a 3rd DVD early next year, maybe with the coming of a potential new CD release?

^ Gonna track down your last few watches, cuz they all sound amazing. Thanks for keeping us updated!

Haha, Kavki Boiz was so much fun! Loved all the experimenting and weird stuff, even if some of the production felt like crap. One of the creative highlights of his career, for me at least.

^ His current set is pretty much straight-up pop rock, so not as dancey and electronic as his self-titled album. Saw him a few weeks ago here, and it was one of the least enjoyable of his shows so far (seen him 4 times before; nothing will top the stripped-down dirty rock vibe of 2011's WHAT'S MY NAME tour tho), but in itself still pretty energetic and entertaining. Just kinda overly calculated and soulless (while also trying to look like it's very much emotional, if that makes any sense xD).

^ Nice! Also, lol, totally forgot about that single that was apparently released a week ago. XD

^ Ah, I see! That's from a few years later, from the "Heroes" album, that's the middle part of his "Berlin Trilogy" of albums (Low, Heroes, Lodger). This was around the time when he moved to Berlin, so the local underground music scene (and drugs xD) had an influence on the spaced-out and more experimental sounds he employed on these records. These three (especially the first two) are considered some of his best work btw. A cool TV performance from around this time period that captures the sound well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHpuY5TKHSk

^ If you enjoyed Ziggy, then there's a good chance you'll also find stuff you like on his albums from around that time period: "The Man Who Sold the World", "Hunky Dory" and "Aladdin Sane". The first one is a bit all-over-the-place, second one's more gentle/mellow, and the third one's really glam-rawk.

How come there's no David Bowie thread?? Blasphemy! Anyway, it is finally confirmed: Bowie will release his new album "Blackstar" on his 69th birthday, January 8th. The single will be dropping on November 20, and is expected to be a 10-minute epic with lots of weird shit, just like the album itself (some sources described it as a mash-up of jazzy elements and '70s German electronic/krautrock vibes). Listen to a short snippet of the title track as the opening of "The Last Panthers" (series): Everyone else as excited as me? His last album "The Next Day" was surprisingly good, so I can't wait to hear the new stuff. He always has something cool up his sleeve. Newest official pic btw (is this man rly a vampire? yes, must be): Any favorite Bowie albums? Mine have to be "Aladdin Sane" and "Station To Station".

^ Yay~ hoping to hear some more old-new tunes soon~

Just came home from a movie marathon at my friend's place. A few of us got together and watched all three Back to the Future movies (in late honor of 2015/10/21 ). Great stuff.

Official Facebook (apparently it's already been around for a few weeks!): https://www.facebook.com/gibkiy-gibkiy-gibkiy-982276208482424/ edit: ah, Hotaru-san was faster than me. ^^"

dat name, ok. xD But yay, looking forward to (probably never) hearing it!!

^ When I got into them, I started with Midian - still my favorite album from them! - if you enjoy a more rawer sound, but with the signature Cradle gothiness: Dusk and Her Embrace - if you want polished, punchy, epic and awesome: Midian - if you'd like to crank the epicness up to 11 (and enjoy longer albums): Damnation and a Day The early stuff is cool too (basically anything up to the Damnation... album), but these would be my initial rec's.

Maybe it's this Patrick Lennon? Totally random, but fits the subject. xD http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2010/oct/04/deputy-head-encouraged-child-rape (it would even fit if Kyo were to reference something recent, since the news is about 8-9 months before the release of the new Tsumi...)

Nice! (tho still haven't listened to the last single)
