I quite enjoyed this mini too, a lot more than what they had to offer in the past few years. Far from AOTY material, but a pretty fun listen. Low-key hyped to see them live in a few months! Oh, and cool review.
  2. Just a heads-up that Gehennah's new album (after god knows how many years xD) leaked, or at least is streaming somewhere~ edit: ah, there it is http://decibelmagazine.com/blog/2016/2/1/shots-fired-gehennah-too-loud-to-live-too-drunk-to-die-full-album-stream

The more I dig, the more enjoyable this seems. xD They're kinda like a female-fronted version of SADS, and tbh I'm okay with this~

Judging from this video, not TOO fucked up, but still pretty cool. ;c

I dunno who this is, but they've got my attention. XD
  6. Guess I'll go to Budapest then. Never seen the band live, but this recent era seems to be more listenable again, so I'll definitely check them out! Heard they do a pretty fun live show.

Yoshiki was posting photos online with captions like "Still (in the studio)..." only like last week, so... idk about that 'complete' album. :v Anyway, I'm not surprised. Hoping for a speedy recovery for Pata tho.
  8. Ah right, the release date is kinda almost here! Cool.
  9. It's almost like everything he releases instantly becomes . . . rare. ;(

Truth be told, I've only ever seen her on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, but she seems so sweet~ ;w; Might check out some of her music now too. xD

Somehow I forgot these guys were even around. Good for them!
  13. ^ Thanks for the clarification!
  14. So how are you guys likin' MADAME EDWARDA's glorious returning album? :) I see at least fifty ppl downloaded it, but I haven't heard any opinions on it yet.

Honestly I like it but I don't think any of the other songs come close to that pv song they uploaded.

      TOO MANY INTERLUDES FAM

I think it's pretty solid. DEEP IN COLOUR, MACBETH, LA FOLIA and of course ORPHÉUS have to be my favorites. And yeah, the interludes are a bit too much, lol. I wouldn't mind them if there was a few less, and more evenly placed among the 'actual' songs (tho they did divide the tracklist into "Act I" and "Act II" so that most of the interludes end up in Act II, but the placemennt still kinda bugs me...).

Ah dang, I wanted to check Suede out, but totally forgot. xD Gonna get on that immediately tho! Also, I was very optimistic for METAFIVE's album but other than an absolutely killer opening track, it gradually went downhill into 'I guess this is kinda alright' and 'meh, skip!' territory. Not bad tho.

Both bands have some brilliant and some awfully boring material, but Plastic Tree is a bit closer to my heart, so I have to go with them. I enjoyed more albums from their catalogue than THE NOVEMBERS, even though PT hasn't offered anything particularly listenable to me for the past 5 years... Still, the good ones will forever remain with me.
  17. good for them..... ;w;
  18. what noooo Oh well, at least the other guys are bent on continuing...

About the massive guitar sound: MiA has a (at least one) backing guitar track helping him most of the time, at least he seemed to have one on their first live DVD. Again, vk and unnecessary playback, jeez... XD
