yakihiko reacted to Mr.0 in WING WORKS @ Paris Manga
So yeah, here is a brief report of my WING WORKS xperience in Paris !
I first headed to Unbounded booth, to buy some merch for the signing session, and here, surprise: RYO:SUKE WAS THERE! He was selling his stuff with unbounded staff (and the session members!). I didn't know him at all, but let me tell you this: he is SUPER nice! He talked with everyone, trying his best to speak decent english (sometimes funny, but overall very good job!), he made some jokes, thanking everyone, etc etc (They were selling all his singles (exept ロゼッタ, dammit!), a big poster, two t-shirts (the one he posted on instagram, and a white one (from his japanese goods), a cheki case, chekis, a CD-R (or DVD? I don't remember, it was only one live song anyway) a live photoset, and a rubber band!) I bought the last copy of FIXXTION BOY, he was super happy, and forcer the staff to write SOLD OUT on the sample jacket haha
And we could do some photos with the members too! (If you bought 10€ of goodies, you could do a photo with your phone with one session member, 12€ it was a cheki, and for 50€ it was a cheki with RYO:SUKE (I have one yay!)
So, after all this merch madness, we headed to the stage, and the word disappointment isn't strong enough. There was CHAIRS all over. I mean, for a visual kei live?!
But we decided to stand near the stage anyway, in front of the chairs, but the staff made us move back, so the press can film and take pictures. Boo Paris Manga and Unbounded, boo.
All the members, RYO included were on stage at some point to set up their gear, place setlists, etc etc. The live itself started OF COURSE 30 minutes late. And again, I was very disappointed. The sound was SOOOOOO shitty, you have no idea. From where I was, we could only hear the guitar, the drums, and his voice (but the instruments were waaay louder) No bass, and no electronic sounds. Wich is like 50% of his songs. But the man himself was great! Full of energy, he made everybody stand up!
Here is the setlist! (The new song, from what I could hear, is killer! Can't wait to ear it properly!
1.シルヴァー
2.Mr.FANTASIX
MC
3.VAD†MAN
4. ILLUMINA✡LUMINALION
5.MAD SQUARE GARDEN
6. ムービングラ イトキス
MC
7.不死鳥-FENNIX-
8.Time:Machine
9. メトロア3.0 (the song is made for the live, it's the kind of song bands do for like 10 minutes, while the studio version is 3min long)
MC
10.STAR GAZER MEMORY
11.FIXXTION BOY (I did something special for this, I'll wait for the videos to be on YT to show you what it is, but the band seemed pleased!)
Oh, and they showed the video of his 4 PVs on a screen behind the stage. It was repetitive, especially since he has some REAL visuals for his lives, but still was nice!)
Sorry for my lame english, I'm still tired as hell, and sick, so yeah!
Overall, good experience, but I'd love to see him in a real live house!

yakihiko reacted to kai_desu in About Deadeyes-star
A lot of you have asked what Deadeyes-star is. In short, it'll be a Japanese music database. It's purpose is to close in the gap between english speaking fans and the Japanese music scene.
For years I've used JaME and other related websites to try and track down bands, stay up to date on new releases, and find information on their releases. There really is no definitive place to find all this information. There's Last.FM, JaME, Visunavi, grassthreads, and even YouTube. Deadeyes-star aims to combine the best of all these resources into one, and building a community around it.
Above you'll find a lovely screenshot of the first sneak peek at what the website will be when its first released. One of the problems I've made, is holding everything off until I had everything complete. Well - in reality this method will never work. So the plan is to release the website in stages, with each stage building up off the other adding new features and fixing bugs as we move along.
The second problem we made, was trying to keep everything a secret. From now on, everything will be announced publicly. I've even come to terms that this is a project I can't pull off by myself. Right now the team consists of me and Manda. I work on the actual develop and coding of the website, where manda focuses on the design and graphics. We'd like this to grow to help in development.
Soon, I'll make another post to recruit for help if you think you or anyone you know may want to join in on the development side of this.
For the time being, if you have any questions or anything, feel free to ask away!

yakihiko reacted to Augie1995 in SCREW self-title album【SCREW】
^hahaha
I can agree that Byou's vocals are a bit off putting, but don't say Yomi's vibrato makes him bad, his vibrato is what makes him stand out as a good vocalist. It's not as dramatic as Asagi's and once again, that makes Asagi an amazing vocalist. It's controlled, not just going up and down in pitch loosely
Anyways, onto the album. DUALITY was a great album, Biran had some moments but not enough, and now SCREW comes in. The singles to this album are much more preferred than the crapstorm that was BRAINSTORM (unintentional pun). We can't really say anything much about their sound with self-titled albums. Self-titled always sound completely different because they always try meshing old styles with their new. That never works cause all people want to hear are the old styles of the band unless the band sounds better now in which case they just want the new style. SCREW, however, didn't do so badly here. This definitely is a step up, and I knew it was going to be good because their last two singles were one of the best ones I've heard since Cursed Hurricane. Now that SCREW is major, they are getting a tad bit better, slowly, but surely, which is a great thing.

yakihiko got a reaction from Bunny in SCREW self-title album【SCREW】
I was in the way to make this topic too
btw...
微笑みを亡くした愛と自由 (5/10)
A normal song for me, not good or bad just, normal.
Red Thread (8.5/10)
Really enjoy the song, it's the "perfect song" for the PV, that song calls my attention to SCREW again.
Bring It On (6/10)
Again, a normal song... but with the epic guitars!
XANADU (6.5/10)
Yes, I like Xanadu, don't know why... just have some in special, maybe the beginnig.
アウトキャスト (10/10)
One of the best songs in the album for me, I like this type of music like Barbed Wire and Femme Fatale.
明晰夢 (4.5/10)
Only like some parts of the song, the begin and the final.
enduring memories (9/10)
Another song that I loved, don't calls my attention when I was listen to the previews, but the full one, is so good.
マスカレード (9/10)
Another great one.
Get You Back (5/10)
Epic guitars, would be better if was only instrumental, don't like the vocals in this song.
Teardrop (3/10)
Come on! I hate Teardrop, no more comments.
DEVASTATED LAND (10/10)
THIS IS THE BEST TRACK IN THE ALBUM!
death candle (9/10)
A pretty good song!
EVERYTHING'S A LITTLE CRAZY RIGHT NOW. (1/10)
For me, the worst in the album, and look, there is Teardrop in the album.
Final Comment: I think Screw is backing to the good times, but still need something (don't know what)...
DUALITY beats again! \(^.^)/ ... Jin improve so much his skills on Drums, he is always getting better and better.
