  6. I talked to the recruiter today about my questions about the job she pitched me and I ultimately filled and she pretty much called me ungrateful and said I should be glad I got any position with my resume ...

  7. Who is/was the best pig squealer on the scene?

  8. Holy shit dude, 大好き is great! There's a copy on Mercari for 4,500Y. Please tell me you didn't have to pay damn near $50 for it. It honestly might be their best song they've released in ages. The breakdown got me DROPPING!

  12. @Takadanobabaalien Is it safe to call "Insanity Injection" dead yet? I really don't want them to be but at this point I think it  might be time to throw in the towel.

Hop in on it when the bidding is low if you're interested.

  14. I have an interview at a temp agency on Monday, but after losing so much weight, my dress pants fit like miniature skirts for each leg. That's not a good look for a dude, so it looks like I need to get some new pants.

Ugh. I hate shopping for clothing.

On a positive note, I put all my JILUKA and DEVILOOF CDs in protective sleeves and I love the uniformity of them all. And now they can be displayed with their obi (though DEVILOOF's obi look like poo).

@VkBrutaliaNYou certainly have a mighty selection, man! And yeah, you're saving yourself by snapping pictures of all your purchases, so you can line up the bonuses with what you bought. I wish I had your kind of income to afford them, though!

@VkBrutaliaNI'm glad that I've passed along my OCD tendencies. SHARE MY PAIN! I don't have all of the bonuses in the same sleeve, but most of them I do. I got signed photos with both types of Divine Error and a comment DVD, so I put those in their own sleeve instead of trying to mash them all in one sleeve. I didn't want to mess up the photos, but it's nice to have it all together. There's a bit of a gap, but it isn't too glaring. You also have to consider the CDs that aren't full jewel cases that may look a bit funky regardless of how you shelf them, as is the case with Screamer and JILUKA's live DVDs. They're in those clear slim CD cases. Like these:

@VkBrutaliaNWell, if you do that, you're leaving the bottom bit open to the elements and if you pull them off your shelf, you'll get scratches in the CD case ... but only on the bottom. The sleeves were only like $10 for 100, so they're inexpensive. I kept the JILUKA DVDs in the plastic using your zip ripcord method because they had a sticker on the front I wanted to preserve. But I used to work in a used CD shop and everything looks nicer when they're uniform, so I bought the sleeves. Also, it allows me to store bonus CD/DVDs in the same sleeve with the respective album/single because sometimes there's nothing to say what release it's from (like the one I got from ZealLink for Ajna).

Don't let any of this discourage you, really. You'll have a great time regardless, just be prepared!

@BrenGunMy roommate at home was Japanese and he was asking when I was going. When I said August he said "is there any way you could go later? You'll be wet with sweat. Or wet with rain since it's typhoon season."

I was there last summer to the end of autumn. August to December. It was brutal in the late months of the summer. The humidity is so bad. I will highly recommend you invest in a tiny bag (or purse) to hold a small hand/face towel. Also a small thing of deodorant at all times. You'll use it. Most venues have coin lockers in and/or around them, as do train stations, so you'll have a place to stash the bag before lives. The worst thing is that the trains are usually air conditioned, so you'll be sweaty and then cold when you get in the trains.

Don't let that deter you from going out and exploring, though! Always wear sun block if you're going to be outside for any length of time, but never turn up any opportunity to go anywhere. I had so much fun just walking and getting lost. Google maps works everywhere, so even if I didn't know where I was, I was always able to get home.

August is a harsh time to be in Japan. I would go through three shirts a day because of the humidity. Ugh. And then your clothes never dry. But still, have fun and enjoy yourself again. I envy you.
