Will test it out in a few. Not sure how I feel since last few singles weren't great but I feel they are more of an album band anyway.

    Edit: The link is legit.

Any members have any physical or mental disabilities that they are comfortable with sharing or talking about?

The reason I post this is because earlier last week I was diagnosed SSD (single sided deafness). It was sudden. For the past two to three weeks I could not hear out of my left ear. It was bothering me. I went along with it for a while but finally decided to make doctor appointments. They flushed out both of my ears maybe due to blockage but everything was normal. Finally, I talked to an audiologist and they tested both of my ears. They diagnosed me as a case of sudden single ear deafness. I have a few more appointments next month to go over other options.

UPDATE: ROOM CAN BE FOUND HERE
UPDATE #2: The usual Sunday session will now be held all day, 24 hours: an open, full session day!

In light of the loss of Plug.dj, people have been talking about alternatives, and many came up with this suggestion. It is very similar to Plug.dj, and perhaps it will grow out to be a fine replacement.

While still a tad wonky and perhaps 'unfinished', the website essentially works in the same way; you create an account, and you can join multiple music-rooms with the intention of streaming music from Youtube or Soundcloud. You can create playlists just the same, and since yesterday (2015.09.28) you have the possibility to create an account that is not linked to your Facebook or Twitter account, and exists solely on Dubtrack. I've done this and my username on there is Lestat. From the looks of it, this means that immediately after the demise of Plug.dj, the creators and developers of Dubtrack have decided to focus on forming a solid community that can replace its predecessors, and mean to seize this opportunity with swift and smooth transitions.

I went ahead and created a new room simply called 'Monochrome Heaven', (««« url!) as we are used to. You can join this room, but there is no moderation apart from its creator (me), yet, as I haven't assigned anyone to these roles yet. If the room continues to grow in size and members, moderators can be assigned, but wouldn't it be nice if we could run this operation without too much of a hassle? Music is meant to open up people's eyes, and in terms of discussion, it should be handled with care and ease — and most of all; it should not be taken too seriously. Of course everyone is anxious to share their opinion, but please be considerate of other members and how heavily your words might influence their view on certain artists or groups. Don't make attempts on changing someone's music taste, this is something they have to discover for themselves. Everyone wishes to enjoy their own chosen musicians, songs, full albums, or whatsoever. It's their choice! No one's taste is fact, no band or artist can be considered anything but what someone's opinion says about them, and this is all personal. So please, share your joy, excitement, sadness, and disappointment, but be aware of your words.

Now that that's out of the way, I highly recommend that we give this a chance. The design is something that isn't too difficult to get used to as it's not extreme or over-the-top, and while we have no dancing avatars (yet?), we can choose our own icon to display next to our names, and personalize our experience this way. Now, to set a few rules in this room like before, mostly copied from @CAT5's list of rules in our previous thread:

Remove yourself from the DJ-queue when you are AFK, or try not to be absent for too long (bathroom breaks are fine). Do not play songs over 7 minutes without asking for permission first. Do not repeat the same songs in one session. (You can play the same band, though!) Do not down-vote songs, please use the upward arrow, or click the 'love'-button to grab songs and add them to your playlist! We are a forum based around Japanese music, so try to adjust your playlists to this. Other music is fine, but remember our passion. Be gentle with each other. While discussions are fine, don't overdo it. Have fun, embrace the music, and deepen the bonds with your friends. Sundays are sometimes theme-days! Suggest your theme in this thread, and it will be taken in consideration. Here is a guide on how to use Dubtrack's current system. At the moment, the developers are working hard on design changes, bug-fixes, extra features, and a more easily accessible frame on how to operate the playlists and queues.

Furik got a reaction from CAT5 in [Band Battle] Dir en grey vs. DIR EN GREY
This is a very interesting thread. I got into Dir en grey when Macabre came out in 2000. I randomly downloaded some of their songs on Napster not knowing who or what they were. (Not to mention they were the band that got me into visual music.) Since then, I have been a fan. I will have to say, despite their earlier days being full of nostalgia, I enjoy their career in full. Every release has been something different and somewhat of a surprise. I loved how dark Macabre was and I eventually backcatalog'ed Gauze and loved it too. Kisou was extremely dark and I loved the constant industrial elements in the album.

It was't until Vulgar that I truly knew that I loved this band. I was constantly researching them and following their every move with new singles (thanks to then other j-rock forums). Every release I was expecting something heavier and hoped the band would cross over to the States (as promised in the Vulgar booklet).

As much backlash the band gets, I am not ashamed to say they got me into Japanese music a lot (them and Mad Capsule Markets). Like I said, I enjoyed every release so far (maybe not so much DSS) but it's fun to see what they come up with in each album. Gauze and Macabre were pretty typical for visual bands of the time but Kisou was very experimental and full of electronics and industrial touches. Vulgar was their foray into a more modern almost heavier rock (thanks to my all-time love six Ugly). WTD was their way breaking into the hipster scene-emo rock. and so on.

I'm rambling. I just want to say I can't break the band down into two categories. They are very diverse and the band is still the same band they were in the early days. Just, each album is different and that's what makes them special.

Furik got a reaction from YuyoDrift in MH FEATURED POLL #31: Do you believe in (romantic) love?
    I do not.
I read an article yesterday about how the newer generation of youth do not even know what love is. The 80s and 90s babies have been brainwashed, so to say, with what love even is. The media's portrayal of love has obviously been poured into a seismic swamp. The Snapchat children send dick pics thinking that'll attract someone to bang. That's not love.
I've hand a handful of meaningful long relationships that have lasted more than a year at a time but the constant dread of being cheated on (or me cheating on them) ultimately take tolls.
No one has security and trust anymore and I ultimately cannot believe in true love. Not in this day and age anymore.

Furik reacted to X-Marc in Crossfaith new album "XENO" release
I totally agree with The Mad Stallion, this album is such a step backwards for the band. I've got no idea what they were thinking. Everything that made them special is not on this album. No catchy songs, almost no dubstep or electronics, very few breakdowns, almost no catchy choruses. It sounds really bleak and empty. Tatsu's crazy drumming? Not on this album. They turned into standard metalcore band #28 with this. Their whole identity and stuff that got them on the main stage of Download Festival is just gone. Usually i keep listening to their albums and get more hyped with each listen. But i listened to it and not 1 song caught my attention. After a few listens Xeno and Raise Your Voice where the most memorable ones and they are not that good. Im really really dissapointed by the band. Their highligh was the Zion EP and after that it just went backwards so fast. Im really sad about it since they had such a bright future and were blowing people away with their sound. At least their live performance remains awsome, but i hope they will release something else soon that can get the attention back and is more true to the sound that they created earlier.

Also the slow song (ballad) what the f*ck were they thinking???

They used to be 1 of my favorite bands but with this piece of crap not anymore
