I think it's somewhat of common sense among VK fans that anything rooting back to UCP is automatically categorized as a milking process by Kisaki. I think it's normal for a band to have a last release, whether they be DVD's, CD's or a boxset of everything included. UCP's bands just all happened to disband, so you're going to get a final release from all of them, naturally.

I've caught some hints of auto tune on the new single's previews though, or at least a sense of voice manipulation. My conclusion is simply that the guy's trying to sound 15 years younger than he actually is. Not that it's a bad or horrible thing, I love Kamijo's voice, no matter whether it was in Lareine, New Sodmy, Versailles, or his new solo project. It's just really difficult to make out what the condition of it is currently.

I think such originality within the same label's releases may also count for this topic, yes? Megaromania's 'Goukaban' and 12012's 'Increasingry'.

That 12012 track is indeed easily chosen. Not so much familiar with anything else on that list anyway. You have to understand he's getting older though. I think his real voice is still what he sung like in Lareine, when he doesn't put any strain on his vibration, doesn't lock his throat up like he does to achieve that nasal sound, it'll be a lot lighter. Everything in Versailles was completely forced, even when speaking his voice isn't that deep as he pulls off in early Versailles tracks.

Music always remains as an opinion, though. I don't think any band can be rendered as a bad band because there will always be someone who likes them. I think the talent lies in effort, bonding and striving for a goal to be achieved. It's not so much about the quality of the music itself but the people who make it live.

Even if lyrics are translated properly, they still cannot bring forward a message that the lyricist might have meant originally. Japanese and English are interpreted in complete different ways, and in my eyes it almost impossible to transfer the exact meaning.

I personally think Mejibray already lost their indie image after their first three releases. They'll go down the GazettE road as well, get signed to a major label, and get turned in to pop-rockers without a personal visual image. Maybe their build-up is similar, but of course not their music - I see zero similarity in GazettE and Mejibray musicially wise, but it's likely they'll suffer the same fate.

And just when I started thinking about them again, sigh.

I'd go for the Versailles track because it's the only one I know from that list, lol. Jeff Loomis is an awesome guitarist, though. I love Nevermore but I'm not familiar with his soloworks. 1.
