Isn't it just sad when you realize that no other Visual Kei band will ever reach a cult-status again? There will be no new Dir en grey, no new GazettE, no new LUNA SEA or X Japan. It's just not happening.

  Also the last wave of bigger bands aren't even that old, and many are still successful: MuCC, Alice Nine, An Cafe, girugamesh (one of the only bands I ever see non-VK people know outside Japan), and the monster SID. All still 'relevant'. DC has bands on the verge of going big, Resistar bands are huge, and BPR is killing it as well.

  I don't think any of the group's in the OP have cult status at all. They're classic bands as far as VK goes, but far from cult as I see it.
