because some people mentioned the language barrier i wanna state something...
 
i once (YEARS ago) read an interview with a death metal band (dunno the band anymore though...) and they were speaking about lyrics and thei vocalist said like: nowadays no one cares anymore about lyrics. and as a vocalist you can practically sing about anything cuz no one cares... as long as it sounds good and so on...
 
and thats also kinda my opinion at least for this specific statement.
because i personally don't understand jack shit what my beloved japanese bands are singing BUT i love the flow of the language so thats why i listen to it!
also back in the day before i know any Vk bands i liked a band because of the music/vocals then i read the lyrics and was like: WTF SHIT are you serious? this lyrics are SOO SO BAD i can't take this... which was a point that ruined most of english songs for me.
not to mention that (according to many translations i got) most Vk lyrics of the stuff i listen to are pretty damn good but kinda depressing as fuck why i am even more mostly beiing kinda shocked that so many young kiddie girls love Vk....
so to come to an conclusion i love Vk because of the music itself, the vocal flow and because of the lyrics if you understand the lyrics in probably 4/5 cases you would probably go from: WOW i love this band to > OH that lyrics wtf were they thinking so i can't listen to this or that band anymore... DONE! ;D

their new drummer is one of the very, very rare Vk dudes where the little chin beard doesn' bother me... XD
 
also good to know that they finally have an offical homepage although kinda strange that at the discography section they've listed absolutely every release except their first full length which was released today!? like god damn i finally want a tracklist!! XD

for those interested their new maxi single is up for order on little hearts already! seems like this time we don't have to wait about 2-3 months afterwards like with their other releases...
although unfortunately with their last minialbum they kinda lost me... not one single song i really loved and according to the new samples of their maxi single still not one single sample i really 100% enjoy so i guess i have to pass on them although i really loved their early stuff...
 
*maybe some people can relate but always a pretty strange feeling if you have bought every release from a band but then suddenly came to the conclusion to pass... although i still hope with future releases they'll catch my attention again...*

as the almighty undisputed founder of the term brutal kei (ehem jokes aside although its true ;D) i want to give my brief opinion on this statement:
 
you are absolutely right! "Hardcore and brootal does not mean a band is good." 
but i wanna tell from my own personal perspective why probably people like you believe that people like "us" think that way...
before i found out about Vk i was a pure metal head. i started listen to more and more heavy music since i was about 10 years old and i discovered Vk when i was 17. since 2009/2010 more and more bands with really heavy music bloomed within the Vk scene and imo if your musical backround was anything metal related it is probably at least for me way more easy to get into a certain band when listening to a heavy song first. i personally have nothing against ballads or poppy songs especially because solely of Vk i found out that SINGING can be really enjoyable since Vk has by far the best singers on earth for me. but again because of my backround its way easier for me to get into a band with a heavy song and because *especially within the foreign scene* i believe that especially a lot of metal lovers get introduced to Vk also just need a heavy song to get warm with certain bands.
and again if a band has screaming/breakdowns/blastbeats in it but the songstructure or the vocalist sucks ass the band still sucks ass! ;D
