I was about to post it this afternoon, but then I remembered this band has more haters than lovers and I skipped the conflict. Looking forward to the shitstorm. On the song, is completely out of the band's regular style and seems "girugameshy" and rather generic. I have to listen to the whole thing but knowing this mini has the same idea as Howling and monopolize I am specting more from the non-a side songs.

How the fuck did you manage to see their feet!? O_O I personally think they are overdoing it with that kind of look, they don't need that kind of thing. Anyway it's not their official look isin't it? It may be an exclusive shoot for the mag, it's not rare at all if so.

Well I must say I do not hate spiv states, in fact is one of my favorite and most listened to projects. But at this rate I have lost most of my confidence in their production being as good as it was at the first releases. When this was a duo unit thei sound was bold and satisfyng, a perfect balance of pop and rock with notable guitar performance that made happen mutiple melodies at a time, all of them equally interesting. The vocal melody was just one layer of the song polyphony. It was rare to find a jap pop rock visual kei band that made such a rich and approachable sound. It was easy to get into but it was full of content. Since Iori left, the lack of one member willing to have interesting guitar phrases on the songs has driven to a sound were the guitars have been losing protagonism and the style has headed to a more straightforward pop, wich is realyy disapointing imo. Now, with futari no hoshi, the title song of the new mini album of the project to be released this week, jun have done a nice song but it has really little content. The guitar is just plain and low sounding riffs and the keyboard is more predominant even in the guitar "solo" wich is eclised totally by the synths. But it's not a big loss since is a quite embarassing one, specially in comparison with anything this project has released to date. Also, Jun seems like a really controlling person. He even did not let Iori speak on the livestreams when the audience rised a question for him and Jun answered himself. Also, early this year jun announced the rebirth of the band with the inclussion of 3 new and promissing members... but it just became a scenario for Jun's unprofessionalty tp be shown. In four months they did not get even an official foto as a band. None of the new members composed anything -Jun did not let them, as he did not let Iori either- and he finally ended alone again this spring, with all his new members leaving him on his own with his rotating support members he is confortable with. Really really sad and embarassing if you ask me. Now the guy is on facebook using his overseas fanbase to get his ameblo to the top 10 in the week his new CD is released and is encouraging them to make free promo of it. He still makes music that I like but if you ask me, this Jun guy is a total asshole. I would punch him in the face with no regret at all.

What is people scared of? It does not matter if it goes amazingly well or if it's an horrendous disasrter, it will be wild fun anyway! xD

After listening to the full futari no hoshi song I must admit the future of this band looks worse than ever. I mean music-wise. I only hope Jun can throw his diva complex away so this band can produce interesting music as a full band. So sad it won't happen. This project needs to be joined by experienced and creative members just like Jun. And he must let them compose their stuff. Also, a more expressive and charismatic vocalist would be really welcome. Jun doesn't do any bad at all but aint good either.

I won't be hearing the CD until it gets home, but I want to know your thoughts on the album! Any opinions?
  7. I wouldn't say so. That's the typical myth 90vk fans tend to write but no one has yet proved it. There few (3 maybe 4) really good bands in the 90 vk scene. The rest were just goth power ragers with some french aspiration with terrible vocalists and everborken guitars.
  8. I have mixed feelings about this project. I am quite sure that the 90's VK is quite overrated. Really few bands were really good imo.
  9. Worst news ever, you were the ultimate source of all news. People is going to notice this even if they are not fammiliar with MH. Anyway feeling confortable with the place you are putting so much effort into is more important than that. Take care. Also I hope you were not irritated by any comment mad by me, if so I am really sorry, it was not my intention. Also he's is right on people only caring really about dir en grey, cocklobin, versailles and.... no, there aro no more bands this forum follows decently.

Oh come on. I thought cuckoo was back and it's just bucchi's new stuff. I'm sad.
  11. madygrain

The band stated that this will be their last single before the album release, wich will be also close to this last single. It will most likely release in later this year in the worst case. As allways, looking forward to this guys music.
  12. madygrain

You allways say the same lol This is kind of true tho.
  13. madygrain

Really surprised by Kisaki doing a NORMAL album. Looking forward to this.

I like cali≠gari a lot, but I am such a Sharaku fanboy that I would prefer Cuckoo to continue instead this band. I really hope that new songs ARE NOT Cuckoo unplugged songs and this last band does a comeback at some point and release at least a full album. But never going to happen, I know.

Awful compared to Shuuji's what? Shuuji's car, maybe? His hat collection? I must agree on that one, his hats are awesome.
  16. madygrain

Two new songs? Sounds like they have a new single on the works to say the least. Anyway they can not help the fact I feel so betrayed for Ao and Sharaku having too much work and not releasing the a goodbye mini with the unreleased Cukoo songs.
  17. madygrain

I am really confused. Are they disbanded doing eventual reunions or are they active? I don't get them at all. I just want Cuckoo back

Thanks for being actually capable of providing some information on this, trombe. I certainly could not ^^U

Apparently the band will have some new activities on 2011.6.19. They also started a new twitter account and website. Related thread: http://www.monochrome-heaven.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=9683
  20. Accoding to the old Cuckoo webpage shinbandesu.com and the files being contained in it it seems cali≠gari will be doing some interesting thing on 6.19 Check the leaked flash file http://shinband-desu.com/img/main-2ndgen_20110618-2.swf EDIT: seems Shinbandesu is the file host for the new cali≠gari website You can visit it here! http://missitsu.com/

The limited edition looks prettier, but fonts over a background of the same color is never a good idea. Also, I don't get why they did not use the same font for the album title in the regular edition. Serif suits the tone better, wht changing it for a sans? O_o

Howling sales were not good, but they recovered nicely with monopolize. I asociate this with Shu not being half as popular as Junno ( in the best case). Once he proved his potential the second single did better. Their lives are allways sucessful and their onemans allways full the venues. They don't seem doing too bad to me, despite they don't do big numbers.

It's sad how brq fans tend to hate boogieman and wish it's disbandment when it outshines brq in composition, production and performance and puts those elements together in a much bolder style. Don't get me wrong, I love baroque and they were a really good band that made great music but some people should at least listen to some music. Sometimes I think people enjoys bands more than music itself.
  24. madygrain

Good news it was a really nice band but insanely overated. Lucky for all of us boogieman supasses it in all points (not so kannivalism lol). I really would like to go to that live =(
  25. madygrain

I have some question. I tried to read bucchi's announcement and I am confused. It seems he left the band because of his busyness with individual projects. Maybe he refered to the whole band? By what I can see it seems he is refering just to himself. Anyway this looks like "sharaku is too busy so let's drop this".
