Last album felt really monochromatic and boring for the most part to me (except some few songs). I am not excited by this news, but I would be if the band took a rest and recharge their creative batteries.
-
I personally think that they found their sound at their full lenght wich was in my opinion far more interesting than their past releases. Or even they more recent ones (sadly). Having a band experimenting with their sound does not sound bad to me, in fact I prefer changing bands to static sounding ones. I don't see the path this band has taken as a wait but as a path that goes through different panoramas. I will too since I don't have Howling.

I think we might get some really cool songs from this mini. It's so sad no one cares about this band at all =(

Nice to see hiromu toda involved in some more projects. Looking forward to what they can do.

Tracklist and versions content revealed. Seems they are using the same structure as in howling/monopolize. TYPE A (CD + DVD) ¥2,730 (tax in) ??CD】 01.POLYGON 02.ラリユラ 03.シュレーディンガー??猫 04.PicaSSo 05.DECOY #3 ??DVD】 POLYGON -Music Clip- TYPE B (CD CONLY) ¥2,310 (tax in) ??CD】 01.POLYGON 02.Howling 03.monopolize 04.ラリユラ 05.シュレーディンガー??猫 06.PicaSSo 07.DECOY #3 Using the same structure means we would find POLYGON as a softer track just like their recent A SIDES that also came in the pack, along with ラリユラ, シュレーディンガー??猫 and PicaSSo that would be heavier/older sounding songs. Also they have the DECOY that hides a re-recording. All except the re recording is my speculation though. I don't really know wich one will be harder, but I think the band will do 50% soft tracks (including howling and monopolize), 50% harder tracks and then the instrumental + hidden track.

I really hope they relase their other songs as mini/maxi single or something. So true. It's sad Sharaku gets involved in so clonic projects that he has to left behind some. What pisses me off is that he does it with the one it it's not actually a sound clone and sounds different (and awesome). I am really crossing my fingers for a "postmortem" mini.

Can't wait. Karma was the most underated album last year, I really want to know what this band does next.

Does somebody know what happened to ZXST? They disbanded, didn't they?
-
I really don't mind if they release some more songs in that pop rock trend, but as kind of rare/excepcional sort of thing like kijou no kuuron

'Potential' is the best word to describe Shu. I think the rest of boogieman can exploit it since they are good musicians, but they can totally ruin the thing if they mess up with their direction.
-
I my opionion Shu sings better but Junno suits the band the best, so he's the better for this band. So essentialy, yes I think Junno was better despite his inferior singing skills.
-
I am really surprised with the consensous about my review, I thought this singles would generate really different impressions since when the a sides were uploaded to YT recieved tons of negative commets about how boring they were. Even the uploader was so disapointed with the criticism that he or she erased his/her account. About the band, being honest, I like Shu more in it little by little, but I really prefer Junno. He made the band sound really hearted and different despite is inferior technical vocal skills imo.

they are hidden tracks on the DECOY tracks.

I'll go fast. Howling > Gets some time to get used to it. Nice guitar interaction and solo. Catchy chorus. Liked it, but not a killer track. 6/10 コケイン > one of their best songs, really epic, vocals work surprisingly well on this one. 9/10 DECOY > nice trolling. Quite a bleh track, but at least more interesting than assembler. imo. 3/10 New World feat. Shu > had to get used to it too, Shu changes this track a lot. 7/10 Monopolize > really weak start, but it's easy to get into and the groovy bass and electric sinths work well and create a good atmosphere. The light chorus is nice. The solo and the moments that follow it are really climatic. 7.5/10 倒錯??傘 > estrange mix of heavy daizystripper song and Nightmare Ruka-style track with boogieman sauce. Not as half as dirty as it should sound but I find it fun to listen. 8/10 DECOY#2 > their best instrumental (?) track to date imo. Really fun and varied, lots of stuff happening, quite cool, but still trolling. 5/10 d.CHILD feat Shu > really surprised with this one, Shu made me shit bricks. Like him more than Junno on this particular song, suits him really fucking well. 9/10 Nice singles overall, not mindblowing, a little disapointing in therms of direction. Hope their new mini has lots of コケイン xD

Let's see how they approach this release. I hope it sounds more like their full legth or first mini than their last singles. Also, I would like it to recieve more attention from heavel plot, their shu singles did not had tracklist until one week before release and the cover was not revealed until the prior day =.=

Since this two consecutive singles have the same estructure and concept I opened a thread for both of them. I will write a coment with my thoughts on the eight songs performed in the singles later. To be honest I am more interested on people's opinions.

Any concrete link where I can I found the information translated to english, by chance...?

I really don't know anything about the members statements about the new vocalist and so... where can I find the sources? Also I did not know about Junno's problems :s I gess that were the medical problems that caused his retirement, but I can not get over the fact I really liked him in boogieman and I would not mind having him back. Anyway, I like boogieman with shu, but I think the new direction has been too drastic in therms of tempo. Their vocal is completely different and they are completely changing their compositions style a lot too, as a fan I feel I can not take all this changes this fast. I really like bands to change and try new things while maintaining the quality (or raising it) but I think 'old boogieman's style' has not got old yet =( On kirito, never been a huge Pierrot fan, in fact I dislike them quite a bit, so never got me so interested to learn about the members.
