Not as good as Vermillion or a:Fantasia, but still cool. SLEEPER > Really powerfull and catchy chorus, really nice pacing. We have not heard acoustic guitars from nightmare in a while and the interaction with the electric ones is cool and gives this son a sense of deepness. The disorted voice segment as well. The solo is good but not as great as in the previous singles. I would give this one 8.5/10 Star Spangled Breaker > the worst Nightmare song in a long time. Cheesy and effortless, lacks a climatic moment and punch in general. Underused bass and laughable guitar "solo". I can not believe Sakito composed this shit. Vocals almost save this song but is so badly composed and empty of emotion that I will not give it more than 3/10 Iris > great and pleasant surprise! Really interesting song. The percussion and vocals do an awesome work on this one. This song has a really nightmare (I mean the kind of dream no this band lol) feel to it. The interludes between choruses have a kind of sinister-ish tone. The chorus itself is like awaking and seeing everything is fine - it has a much brighter tone that highly contrasts the rest of the song but suits it at the same time. The solo is not great but has that extrange and dreamy sound that goes well with the song. Nice one 8.5 Overall I would give it something like 7 - 7.5/10 The second track is awful, but the other two are good stuff.

    Kind of funny. 7/10

Don't find it expressive at all 4/10

It will be called なりきりLOVER/THE WORLD XXI -君トイウ世界- (Narikiri LOVER / THE WORLD XXI - Kimi to Iu Sekai -) and will feature a new version of their demo なりきりLOVER and two more new songs, one of the called THE WORLD XXI -君トイウ世界 (THE WORLD XXI - Kimi to Iu Sekai -). At least that's what I can get D=

About time. Can't wait to know more about the songs they will be included. In CDJapan apparently says the C type will have bonus song(s).

I read it wrong and understood "CHAIR-FALL into YOU". It was fun.
  7. madygrain

    This. They never disapointed me.

I am gessing you are talking about Last.fm's shoutbox. If so, I recomend you to read again the conversation tha happened there. Some other user was begging for the band to disolve and I pointed out that the band's ecomics did not seem that damaged, at least in therms of live attendance. Also, I don't have to go to see their lives and count the atendees: all their onemans except this very last one have been sold out. And that could be seen in their OHP, because they updated the promotion banner with the 'sold out' indication. Also I am looking forward to your complete review! It's curious how being able to innovate and do different things as a band is so determinating for some fans. Even to the point that if a band's production does not evolve the music itself is not worth listening, whatever the actual quality of the music is. I don't see how being 'generic' prevents a song from being good.

I will write a more deep review later on... for now I will say I really liked this mini album. The single's A sides grew on me and I like them much more now. PicaSSo and ラリユラ were really cool fits for 'old boogieman' songs imo, being ラリユラ my personal favorite on the album. POLYGON was the weirdest song considering the style of the band but it came along surprisingly well. The 故に、自壊 was really spectacular on Shu's side and it proved me how amazingly he can do. I really look forward to their future releases, but now with confidence. My mark for this would be around 7 and 8, maybe closer to 8 than anything. More interested in reading other people thoughts and how nekkichi ends up talking about sales instead of actual music.

Too much autotune, but I'll keep an eye on this.

Thank you, champ. I will be looking for what the band planned for the oneman if they are really up to something.
  12. At least that what I can tell from the new T-shit they will be selling at their next oneman. I don't know what the kanjis could be, but by the imagery an the english text Is the only thing I could deduce. The T-Shirt: Also note that the nex oneman is entitled 'QUATTROMAN', it will most likely due to the band played at a livehouse called club cuattro, but it would also mean the band being a for men unit. Could someone offer a translation of the kanji to be more certain on the happenings?
  13. madygrain

Cool, now he can focus on GalapagosS upcoming album, in wich I am more interested than this project, honestly.
  14. madygrain

Let's hope for the members join projects soon. I was not a big fan of this band, liked some songs but I felt like Hikaru could be in a more interesting project. Hope the fans are not too pissed because of the people being happy about the disbandment.

This statement seems really popular here. I really don't know why. It's true that every six months we get a like a dozen new bands that won't get to do anything remarcable, but there have been and are bands formerd in the 00s that made and still make notable music. Regarding the past year, and since making a good recomendation takes knowing the receptor's taste and I know nothing about the op I will mention the ones that I think anyone should try out: amber gris, XA-VAT and Cuckoo. I would say spiv states too, the last mini has a couple really lame tracks on it tho.
  16. madygrain

Hmmmm tasty. Is not my favorite sharaku project but the debut mini was cool, let's see how does this band rolls with this.
  17. madygrain

Yes. Ever created an absurd plan for world domination?
  18. madygrain

Yes, love it. Do you like tomatoes?
  19. madygrain

    1.Cuckoo 2.Rentrer en Soi 3.Kagerou 4.Babylon 5.The Legendary Six Nine (?)
  20. madygrain

    Falcon Kick. North by northwest?
  21. madygrain

But does this material belong to NESS or is it other Toda project?
  22. madygrain

Two vocalist? Could be nice. I will keep an eye on this.
  23. madygrain

    Kick! A theremin?

If I'm doing so, you should not be caring since you can still make your comments on the subjet of matter being discused. And thats not what other forum users are doing, so keep on track please. After seeing how things are apparently going for this band I got to the conclussion that they are just tryng to expand their audience. Junno's way of singing was not something that could be massively appreciated. Shu's voice can do more things and sounds more natural. They are taking advantage of that by doing easier songs to get into and using them as A sides. On the other hand the b sides still sound like something that could be founded in their album so, essentially they have expanded and watered down their sound a little in order to expand, but they are still attached to the kind of music they have been developing. Now on the appearance side the question you rised seem quite stupid to me. Visual kei is not a music genre, and it can be developed by any kind of band whatever the music they make. There are tons of straight pop japanese bands that use visual style and no one is wondering if they should drop it. But I gess it was not a serious question at all but a way of saying that the band is unpopular and that will mean no sales that will lead to a disbandment, thing you tend to do with bands you don't like.
