Well, in western bands, an EP is anything between 2-7 songs or so this is technically an EP... But they're in Japan, this is a single. Hellion speaks words of wisdom here. I'm not getting attached to this band either whether this music blows me away. Leda already damaged me with DELUHI, then UNDIVIDE was just so amazing with nothing wrong about it and then that ended abruptly. It's basically routine for Leda's band to disband after an album

I didn't even give their last album a second go, so here's to hoping. Their singles are always on point though
-
I can definitely see a single coming out AFTER the album based on the movements but not before.

Shou (Sorry, er, Show) just tweeted a new setlist: 本日list Rebellion Heavenly Dark MC Everlasting Flavor smells like teen spirit VICTIM INFERNO でした、早く音源出したい Judging by the name of the tracks, I'm assuming those are going to be for Diawolf

IMO, the past three albums (BD excluded slightly from the list) had a lot of The GazettE creating a pretty straightforward song with not much going on (God, this site is in love with calling everything generic) and relying on the electronic stuff to make the song better or stand out. In some cases it did (Here's looking at you Attitude) and in other cases it didn't. I don't know if it's smart but I'm taking hints from their setlists and the spot as indication of what sound they're curently digging. The GazettE can make some dark stuff. Not exactly scary or intense but DIM was a good indication of what kind of 'dark' moods The GazettE can do. They have certainly learned how to tease and promote their stuff very well, whether it shall hold true is to be seen. I kind of wish they did what western bands do and drop a 'single' to show us what we're in for and not your 3-track single CD. Either way, I'm excited about this, and I'm curious as to what the tracklist will be like. Hopefully some full length songs and not your typical 3-minute commercial length songs

Not to start anything but I feel like that's blackdoll with every Nocturnal Bloodlust post. Either way, I feel like checking out The Kiddie's latest effort to see if they leave with me on a positive note or hoping for their next endeavors to be more endearing

I hear Neil Patrick Harris was in this week's episode. I really have to catch up so I can watch that episode. Really hope the rumors of Lily Rabe coming back this season as her character from Season 2, it'll be the first time that any of the seasons have any correlation with one another

Haven't even tried out the new album or the previous singles but everything from THE FIVE and before was on point with me. Thought they were referring to something else when I saw a facebook a photo of their tour with the title "Final tour" Didn't think much of it until now

Does Genesis beat Sphere in all out epicness? No. But Genesis is fucking brutal and I love it!!! Can't wait for the album!

I'd have to say DIM. NIL had some good ideas and a lot of the songs were fun or very energetic but DIM just has this aura about it that carries on throughout the whole album. Shiroki Yuu Utsu over the ballad on NIL, Nakigahara over any song on NIL and DIM SCENE has to be their best closer in my mind, no matter how strong of a tribute Taion carries in its lyrics.

It'll be hard to top DESPERATE's intensity. Strong riffs and heavy shit, then it all calms down just for Hiro to do a high-pitched scream to your face and bring some br00tal shit to your ears and a guitar solo to top it off.
-
This isn't bad but they're getting a little to accustomed to simple, empty instrumentation to back Yusa's vocals during the verses and lyrics that are constantly repeated. 1414randomnumbers had that part after the solo which was the same line repeated like 12 times and this seems to have the same. I can't believe I'm about to be one of those people but can they go back to MA[sTAR]PIECE style?

Sounds pretty good tbh. Excited since I miss Ling and it's been a while since their latest release
-
I kind of don't care that their contract expired. I just hope they find what they want with their current label and they go back and away from wherever they were trying to go with on SUPERNOVA.
-
And why would I do that? I have no interest in what you said seeing as how it's not a review and I never said you said that.

I'm loving this really pointless arguments over genres on a review thread. Gravitation is definitely a step forward for Girugamesh and their sound. Gravitation (song) was still reminding you of MONSTER a bit but all of the other songs just brought some raw intensity that hasn't been present in a Giru song in years! They're doing what Crossfaith should be building up on, whereas Crossfaith is starting to feel like they're crawling towards 2011 Girugamesh. Definitely digging this and i'm excited for some new releases. That buildup to Vortex's breakdown>>>>>>> Also, stop calling djent a genre. It's insurmountably ridiculous to use the purr a distorted palm mute on the bridge creates as the name for a genre.

I really want to check out Matenrou Opera's new album but The Contortionist just leaked and Matenrou is nothing compared to that album
-
Miyavi: "Just feel the moment~" Yeah, i'm not feeling it, Miyavi. Maybe try with another release? You're the "Samurai guitarist" Not the "Samurai drowned out by every other sound in the song"
-
Oh god, please don't tell me people actually use the term "djent" as a genre here. This mini is going to be mindblowing for sure, I agree with Rekzer, this made MONSTER sound like GO. Definitely digging these songs, VORTEX and GO AHEAD having some form of Nokubura headbang feeling to it, Reflection being very fast-paced and slightly aggressive; every member has certainly improved drastically
-
Well it's not until 2015
-
Nothing really heavy but it's still good
-
it's comments like these that make me love you guys hahahaha
-
It definitely isn't as strong as their last album. Could you tell me where exactly you heard that PTH section? I don't remember hearing it during my playthrough of the album and I'm pretty sure I would recognize a part that sounded similar to Bloodmeat.
-
It was my introduction. Amy was the first song and I loved the energy and then Happy Home became my favorite ballad for a long time

So far, nothing bad so I have high hopes
