I know they're going on a hiatus, or they already are. They dedicated their recent show song TSUBASA to all the fans who are sad about Alice Nine's hiatus
  2. Augie1995

I'm getting so into this! Fucking trip like always
  3. Augie1995

I know I'm not the only one who wasn't fully into APOCALYZE so hopefully this is awesome!
  4. Augie1995

Teru did tweet that he was recording so i'm guessing it's for the album since I assume the single is all set and just awaiting announcement and final mixing and production
  5. Oh man, I've been dying for some new STRAIGHTENER tunes! Lightning is still my favorite track from them
  6. PHASE 2 is a mess. It can be an entertaining mess every now and then but a mess nonetheless. That Swing it MV is probably a perfet example of how the writing of this album was done

Based on that final movement that he does at the end of the chorus, it's safe to say that the intended phrase is "Mime."
  8. Was FALILV high when they wrote "Nail the Shit Down?" I can't follow the stream of conscious thought at all there. Each 30 seconds is a new song haha

Idk, I'm really digging this. Is it instrumentally bare and more electronically driven than most of their songs? Yeah. They did make it work very nicely here IMO. I can really feel some passion through this song and all the sounds were used accordingly, nothing really felt like it was added on there just for posterity's sake. I hope they stick a little more to their rock style than this but I don't mind this occasional dabble into this spectrum of music. I find myself grooving a lot to this song. The one thing I kept thinking is that this felt like ONE OK ROCK's version of a darker 30 Seconds To Mars's recent album single and the fact that both videos end with colored substances thrown at them in slow motion doesn't help me not feel that way xD

Well it's simple. They look like "beautiful men", and the jap girls go crazy over that. That's how they continue to sell
  11. If I could suck off the band members of Within The Ruins for their new album, I would because that is a fucking monster right there!!!

Hahaha same!! I'll just stick with Umbilical, Alterna, and Scheat, the songs that made me believe SuG actually had potential. Basically anything post-Mitsuru is Takeru caressing SuG into his love child of pop and western culture. There's nothing really different about this song than any of their other birthday cake songs. It feels like they keep a piece of paper with them when they write with their washed-out song writing formula on it for copy-paste. It's gotten to the point where Masato should have probably sold his 7-string guitar 3 years ago

The new album was pretty mediocre and light. I don't mean light as in not heavy (which it is), but light as in almost no songs have anything much going on. All the lyrics were very "cliche" if you'll allow me to use that word and the instrumentation had much lacking. The only good song was Guilty All the Same and Rebellion. GATS was because of the rapping part which was creative and had some good lines, even though the guitars were duller than ever on that part. GATS was good because Daron Malakian, enough said.

SiM and FALILV are getting me excited. Coldrain already did their thing, now all we need is more news on that new CD Crossfaith has been writing
  15. Augie1995

Their last album was great and these past singles have been awesome so I am excited.
  16. Well the mini is coming out two days before Halloween so...
  17. It's in no way br00tal, but it does sound pretty good. that intro riff sounds like they think it's perfect for headbanging live (which it's not), but yet, people will still be doing it at their shows in japan.

Right now? MONUMENTS, I, Omega (Sounds like young Protest The Hero), Periphery, Dance Gavin Dance, A Lot Like Birds, DESTINY POTATO, Fallujah I seriously haven't listened to anything else other than these guys, non-stop, for the past month or so. Except I, Omega since I was just introduced to them and their debut album just got leaked.

*slight apathy turns into actual interest* Regular Edition Type B Type A
  20. This whole song is on point, goddamn!!! That intro though~ and a keyboard solo!! Dig the whole tempo change after the solos, this is probably their most melodic song both with the vocals and the guitars that isn't a ballad

It's a good album but I felt the guitars were either drowned out in the mixing of the album or they just werent written to be as prominent as before. The songs are still UVERworld-catchy but I feel there is more pop than their usual rock. You go back to their LIFE 6 SENSE, and you got yourself some strong guitar riffs with a more prominent jazzy side. You go back to THE ONE and you have those same strong riffs but a more heavier side to them and slightly more electronic. This album though, it definitely is more poppy, Enough-1 and IMPACT being the catchiest of them all. Then we get 3 ballad-esque songs starting with "KICK ga..." It's a good album, just not as UVERworld strong as their past stuff. I still found myself dancing and going crazy to the first part of the album, but I just didnt feel the power I have felt in their past albums. I don't think I'll be listening to this as much as I have their past albums. The singles were all right for this album, but I prefer THE ONE singles (7th Trigger, Kinjito, THE OVER). I mean, 6 of the songs were old but THE ONE still held up as a strong one.
  22. Digging the pre-chorus right before the second chorus
  23. Augie1995

HAHAHHAHAHHHAHHHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA! .But Seriously.... What the fuck?
  24. Dig it, their last single was really good
  25. Augie1995

Hands Like Houses for sure!! Awesome band right there, very melodic. I enjoy playing their songs off their first album on guitar, especially A Clown and His Pipe 1. Akeldama- A Seed of Hope 2. The Contortionist- Flourish 3. Nocturnal Bloodlust- FATE 4. Vistlip- RETRO 5. A Lot Like Birds- Connector 6. TesseracT- Of Reality - Calabi-You 7. Dance Gavin Dance- Happiness 8. The GazettE- HEADACHE MAN 9. Sianvar- Your Tongue Ties 10. Galneryus- Bash Out! OH MAN!! That shuffle was too good!! I can't decide! Akeldama is so atmospheric, with contrasting heavy vocals and high cleans and the riffs! The Contortionist is death metal at its finest, with the most epic melodic section ever that is glorious to play on guitar! A Lot Like Birds has the most beautiful intro buildup with some amazing drumming, plus so much energy and emotion in the song. TesseracT's Calabi-You is a hell of an instrumental song with a sax in it... THIS IS TOO MUCH! I'm sorry, I can't decide
