Mr. Bacon beat me to it. . . And the album art will have Spatula Guy on it.

Oh, thanks! Can't believe I didn't notice that before. @___@

I too have been annoyed by that. I guess just remember to uncheck the "Notify me when a reply is posted" when you post. :/

Success plays a big part in it. Visual kei does pretty poorly in the market generally and popularity/sales is really the biggest thing it depends on. What ever is "in" at the time is what the companies are going to attempt to cash in on. A lot of money goes into making visual kei what it is - the costumes, the videos, everything and I'm assuming it takes a lot to break even. If a band can't keep up with the competition, if they can't seem to get beyond underground to make it major, and if their sales are less than desirable, expect them to not last very long. That's why some of the "rare" visual bands that have disbanded probably were only around for a few years and the popular bands last for ten or so years (though that is not always the case). The musicians probably aren't all that passionate or concerned with music to want to try to keep the band going anyway if they aren't going to get fame. They may just decide to go back to their old lives and jobs or go elsewhere in the visual kei world and attempt to form a new band with new members, image, and music genre and try to start over again. Also, the huge file-sharing phenomenon doesn't help very much, to be honest. The internet can be a double-edged sword sometimes.

It might be better just to post "cause unknown" or something like that than to make a serious assertion such as suicide (with barely any basis besides people's opinions). There are many reasons it would not be disclosed why someone died, doesn't mean it was suicide.

One of them has to do Child Prey too.

A Glee album will be made in their honor.

This thread may be a disaster, but here are some that absolutely can't go without being remembered. Munetaka Higuchi - passed away from liver cancer; really, really sad. He has a memorial museum in Japan in his honor now. Kiyoshiro Iwamano - probably one of the most important men in Japanese rock, period; lost a battle with cancer, if I recall correctly Marry (Color) - died in an accident; has a memorial show every year in his honor featuring lots of old visual kei greats performing hide - probably not a lot more I can say, info about him is everywhere; but he was really important to visual kei Soichiro Umemura - singer of Tokyo Yankees; cause unknown (?) Futoshi Abe - guitarist of TMGE; also died of cancer

Hopefully the New Will might be better than the current Free-Will. 2013 Dir en grey will go poppy like Girugamesh, piss off everyone, and hopefully sink into obscurity.

So many catchy B'z songs. ^^

I love every single one of you guys. P.S. Lol, some of those quotes sound like Dir en grey lyrics "SHIT MAN ANGRY!!!"

And his sidekick can of Pam.

Thanks for the link! Will be reading it. xD

Yeah agreed with Champ, Mitsu was just lolz in the good kind of way imho unlike those other guys. (Even though I never personally encountered him). I always hear about that fanfic but never seen it, what was it about?

That's one more thing I'm gonna miss about TW.net - that one Mitsu thread with the funny title. What was it again? "Mitsu shave a monkey balls?" -sigh- Those were simpler times.
-
Yeah, I think I just went blind.
-
For real! Lawl, that emote is so realistic. . .

Your new name should be "o no itz coming this way." > implying > implying > implying > implying > implying

I'd like to see quotes of the drama behind that one picture. Poor Ken. And gosh, that gift thing breaks my heart. I'd never give that man another dime for as long as I lived.
-
You have to be really hot, though.
-
Lol @ Kyo and Britney!

I love hearing people's "Kiwamu stories." There should be an archive somewhere. . .
