  1. I have a racy question 😋 How do you say "horny" in Japanese? As in 'Japanese bodybuilders are always horny".

  2. Kiryu's Mahiru was in Lυτёη∀?  😮

That means he is getting close to 40 then.

      Oh.

His nose was OK. He looks strange now.

But incredible how time flies. Makeup makes wonders yo hide your age.

  4. it seems jyakura's last vocalist is planning to come back for a while and going to publish details this october (; w ; ) uuuuuwuu babyyy

I like Jakura, but I'm not excited about comebacks anymore because given the current direction in the scene they won't sound the way I like it (old school VK).

  5. Kamijo's Eye of Providence is not that good :( I could deal with his english on sang but I would rather him sing from Japanese again from not on out and quit the gimmicks...

I'm listening to it on YT. I wish Kamijo relied more on guitars and bass and not so much on those cheap synthetic symphonic sounds. They're exhausting after a time and they don't really add quality to his music.

Japanese has its charm; no need for English; even less if he can't pronounce it decently. Part of the charm in listening to Japanese music is the language itself.

  6. Japanese Language Question

I have a doubt I hope someone can clear up for me. In expressions like 野菜でいい, that で, which of its several uses is in action here? Is it perhaps で which indicates a state (from である)? Wild literal translation: being vegetables is fine/OK.

    1. seikun

      seikun

      Thanks for all the comments.

I understand the idea in the でいい construction, but I have always wondered what this で means given that most online courses leave out essential information. If I can't understand a word I can't make progress, instead I'm just repeating words and phrases like a robot.

I thought this で was the one that indicates a state as in 詩人先生す (Being a poet I am a teacher.) which makes sense to me. I mean the uses of で explained above in this expression could belong to this category of particle で (indicates a state).

  7. Seeing as we've been on the subject of gender and whatnot for the past few days now, I guess it's only fitting that I'd wake up (at about 3:30pm) to this.

Intersex is a biological condition that is medically treated. It's different from transgender and nonbinary which take place in the mind.

That's from 2011 so we haven't heard of him in a long time. The rumour of sex change was at the back of my mind now that I read those comments. He's like another Klaha by now.

I don't talk about gender but about sex. I find the ideas behind the concept of gender problematic, even reggressive and this is one of the cases when it shows it's problematic. I think people can identify however they want but people should not be persecuted for stating biological reality.

  11. I love Masato for warning people about Maria Cross! Not like anyone in their right mind should associate with Maria, but well....

  12. Hmm, has anybody ever thought Kamijo has ruined his voice, that forced his voice to sound deeper and serious ever since Versailles was formed?...

    1. seikun

      seikun

I mean his voice sounded healthier before Versailles.

  13. Could someone help me out with this Japanese?

    かすれた声に凍えた手で
    空を掴むように求めてた

It's from SectMateria's Cyanosis. I think I understand the basic idea...; him looking for a way to seize the sky with his frozen hand(s), but the かすれた声に凍えた part has me all complicated because I don't know it fits in logically. I know 凍える is an intransitive verb but it looks as if it were saying something like "with my hands that froze the husky voice", but intransitive verbs don't have an object they affect. かすれた声に is such a challenge. I'm lost here >.<

    1. seikun

      seikun

The problem is how かすれた声に is affected by 凍えた or what its relationship with 凍える is because 凍える is an intransitive verb so it doesn't an object. に is supposed to be used when expressing the indirect object but still, with my poor Japanese that doesn't seem to make sense either.

  14. When one requests mp3 format is not because one disregards other formats but because mp3 files are lighter and still retain decent quality.

    1. seikun

      seikun

I don't know that format. I just prioritise saving space while keeping decent quality. Mp3 is in no way a bad format.

  15. What an awesome cover. I never thought the guitar line was so cool. Lareine - Solitude.

  16. I've been obsessed with 呪縛郷 from La'veil MizeriA lately, although if they want to do like old bands they should shoot in run-down buildings and forests. Those sets where all bands film are getti tired angnd contribute to no dramatism.

    1. seikun

      seikun

I like the song, but like I said before, the PV sould have been filmed in a run-down building and a forest nearby to dramatise the story told in the song. That is what older bands did . That set they used is boring, claustrophobic, overused, it helps tell no story and doesn't suit La'veil MizeriA's look.

Is Kiwamu the owner of those sets?

  21. Is there something wrong with Yunisan lately? It's the best site to keep track of old Visual Kei bands but now I can't find some bands. I could swear NéiL's discography was there before.

That is the best site to check old VK bands' discographies. I need it!

I don't know the technicalities in this but I find something really endearing in this kind of sound quality.
