It has come to a point where I think most of them decided it is bad cause they dislike the change and saying most of the songs sound the same WHERE I THINK that is pretty normal for their new album to set a new fundament for the direction they're heading to? also you can't even "rate" the other songs based on their previews,nothing of that really makes me decide if its good or bad. Anyways sorry for the wall of text but I somehow wanted to let all ym thoughts out lol

I feel ya! What I mean about their songwriting is that... I think they should take more time to really flesh out some of their ideas...because they have some GREAT fucking ideas, but everything kinda goes by in a flurry...and at the end of a lot of their songs, i'm left like "yeah that sounded kinda cool", but the song doesn't leave a lasting impact. Listening to their songs are like getting little shots of dopamine, but never enough to sustain a high - if that makes sense! XD
 
I think it's difficult for a lot of bands similar to this to really get right, but I think ling tosite sigure is a good example. Tk's songwriting is able to balance technical prowess and chaos, all while being catchy, memorable, and full of character. Mind you, I'd take Miku's vocals over TK's any day

@CAT5 in my first couple of listens I thought it was almost too chaotic. I couldn't take in the new songs in the context of the album, I'll need to listen to to them separately. But I'm a huge fan of their work, it could be that they just work better in small bites. That could be due to their songwriting as you said.

I'm not sure when ppl started this, but MH has always been a J-rock site - as in not JUST for VK. Furthermore, the forum has always been open to genres outside of the general J-rock/VK sphere as well.
