FINALLY! The string of singles they released last year were pretty good, so I'm curious to hear what kind of new material they have in store. They pulled some bullshit with all those different editions, though. Total dick selling tactic...I can't say that I'm surprised by it, though.

I want to say that I'm interested, but their last couple of releases have been extremely weak... I'll still give this a listen if it leaks, though...

Greetings!!! Japanese Indie and Japanese Jazz!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????? Japanese Indie and Japanese Jazz!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????? These are 2 of my favorite areas of Japanese music, so we'll probably get along great! lol Welcome to MH! Greetings! Welcome to MH! Hope you like it here! ^__________________________^

GREAT idea! Just so everyone knows, this thread differs from the music recommendation thread that Champ posted in the other discussion section. My thread was made for people to request recommendations, but in this thread, you can actually post anything that you'd like to recommend. ;] Anyways, I will certainly contribute in the future! ;]

I thought it would be fun for our many MH members to answer this music meme. Given the diversity of our userbase, this should be VERY interesting! So copy the code in the spoiler below and get started! To maintain neatness, I implore you all to use the spoiler tags for your answers. Well, GO! GO! GO! I'll post my answers a bit later!

Sure, I'll check it out when it's released. They usually have a few songs that I end up enjoying.

Take Care. Hope to see you back soon ;]

I didn't notice anything spectacular about Mukai's production - if anything, it was a bit too clean. Looking forward to this, though!

Unfortunately, I've had the displeasure of seeing the album cover for "born this way" on a music blog I visit. Atrocious

I've only heard caroline rocks's first mini album, but they're solid enough and I'm fairly interested in giving their new one "parallel." a listen. Have you heard it yet? 昆虫キッズ is name I've seen around, but still haven't gotten around to listening to. Will have to so soon...I know they have 2 releases up at KMC. is pegmap still around? I had no idea they released a new EP... I only have their old releases "HAVE A NICE DAY" and " see you".... UNCHAIN is good, but I have to admit that I've never really given the a fair listen. I do have a few of their releases laying around my HD, though...just need to remember to listen lol. From the songs I've heard so far, I do know that the vocalist's Engrrrish annoys me at times. ^^;;; 八?八ヶ所巡礼 are fuckin' awesome. It's like they filter your traditional hard Rock&Roll through their warped, Japanese-indie sensibilities. I've only heard their album from last year and their 2009 EP, but it's all quality material! ;D クリープ??イプ....I've never heard of before. The vocalist is a bit grating, but it's not too bad besides that. Anyways, welcome to MH! Glad you decided to "come out of the woodwork" lol. We need more J-indie fans here! ;]

Firstly, if you don't "GAF"...why are you even posting in this thread? Secondly, the tone of your post implies that disbanding due to a lack of money/fans is somehow a bad thing. If a band breaks up because they're not making any money, that doesn't necessarily mean they were ONLY in it for the money. There are shitloads of VK and non-VK bands that LOVE MAKING MUSIC , but are more or less forced to break-up simply because they're not going anywhere. Just because these guys put on a little make-up and play instruments, they're still not exempt from paying bills and actually making a living in the real world. If you know these guys personally, and they've explained their real-life situations to you, then by all means - speak on. But until then, stop making condescendent posts in threads of bands you don't give a fuck about.

Latest PV from "Underground-pop" band, Tokyo Karankoron (??京カランコロン). a little bit too long I think, but very nice! ;D dYt9PB3iWgk

9mm Parabellum Bullet × 凛??????時雨 ....although this has already happened before. I'm sure it was amazing http://ro69.jp/live/detail/4105 EGO-WRAPPIN' × ??京事変 Two of the best Jazz-pop-hybrid bands in the world. Yoshie Nakano and Shiina Ringo on the same stage!!!??? INSANITY! In my opinion, both of these bands are bigger than life - I'm not even sure I'd be able to stomach all the awesomeness in one night. ;]

Although technically, they're not an indie label anymore, they're still very "indie" in style and spirit. The same could be said for many of the bands mentioned in this thread, though. In the world of music, "Indie" is such an ambiguous word, so we need not try to define it in this thread. So yeah, whatever you wanna discuss here is up to your own discretion. Just wanted to toss that out there ;] So as for OGRE YOU ASSHOLE - OF COURSE THEY COUNT! I'm a bit iffy about some of their recent material, but releases like "alpha beta vs lambda" and their S/T are fraught with classic songs! @*littlelamb - I shall add "New Fascio" to my perpetual queue of things to listen to lol ;] @Mr Bacon - admittedly, I found amazarashi a bit on the boring side. They're not bad, just not my cup of tea I think... @fitear1590 - Japanese math-pop bands....hm....that may be a tough one. Have you tried haisuinonasa and the cabs?
