Zeus 7997 Posted May 15, 2011 Not at all unexpected, although I am still sad to see them go. They started losing it after [words], even though wipe out a DEAD WORLD was a little cool. They were one of my guilty pleasures. Any reasons why they decided to call it quits?
LIDL 692 Posted May 15, 2011 i am guessing the typical "musical differences though actually we may fight, a bit lol" as the reason it's a shame though.
X-Marc 7 Posted May 15, 2011 fuck, really? damn another good one disbands-_-
iSin-Sama 4 Posted May 15, 2011 Damn, So many good bands this year gone.
Goshiro 6 Posted May 16, 2011 truly sad. I hope the singer will go on... he is really talented. This seems to be a bad year.... last year were lots of disbandements too, but this year the most good bands disbands...
Trombe 22025 Posted May 16, 2011 their disbandment was determined in mid-2011/02 (at least not due to musical differences), but such announcement is postponed due to earthquake
Pretsy 1343 Posted May 16, 2011 Idgaf. Even though, this mass disbandment curse is starting to bother our lovely neo-vk scene lately "musical differences" sounds like another typical excuse for disbandment. Maybe "no money less fans" might be a better explanation or so. But that's just me. P.S. isn't this that deg cover band with bad porn vocals?
Zeus 7997 Posted May 16, 2011 No. That was VAJRA IIRC. ReivieЯ and DEG had very little in common.
CAT5 9075 Posted May 16, 2011 Idgaf. "musical differences" sounds like another typical excuse for disbandment. Maybe "no money less fans" might be a better explanation or so. But that's just me. Firstly, if you don't "GAF"...why are you even posting in this thread? Secondly, the tone of your post implies that disbanding due to a lack of money/fans is somehow a bad thing. If a band breaks up because they're not making any money, that doesn't necessarily mean they were ONLY in it for the money. There are shitloads of VK and non-VK bands that LOVE MAKING MUSIC , but are more or less forced to break-up simply because they're not going anywhere. Just because these guys put on a little make-up and play instruments, they're still not exempt from paying bills and actually making a living in the real world. If you know these guys personally, and they've explained their real-life situations to you, then by all means - speak on. But until then, stop making condescendent posts in threads of bands you don't give a fuck about.
PIZAZ 238 Posted May 17, 2011 Today sucks. While not my favorite band Revier was really good and could have been something great with more time. Seems like the visual kei scene is way less popular than it used to be a couple of years ago(way less new bands and way more disbandments).
Takadanobabaalien 3607 Posted May 17, 2011 I am so sick of all these complains of disbandments. Even worse with people saying "oh no, it was not like this years ago" News flash: Bands have always disbanded, and they will keep on doing it. Guess what? Even western bands does it. Also I agree with CAT5.
Zeus 7997 Posted May 17, 2011 Perspective is key here. ReivieЯ wasn't a big band. They weren't even big by indies standards. Go down the block to some random fair and look at the hard rock band playing there. Dress them up flashy, have them sing in Japanese and you have ReivieЯ. They lasted quite a long time for a small band with little funding and even less support.
gyakutai 12 Posted May 17, 2011 not a big loss, I lost interest in them after words. But they were really good in the beginning ;_; good luck to them.
