gackt having a solo career I can hate kisaki and his ways, but proportionally, the biological hazard of gakuto kamui is incomparable not to mention he spilled some of his talent on yohio and they've probably conceived a satan together and non-visual rock scene is not that obnoxious as far as I can tell

I wonder who's shaping their creative direction rn, but they went from a semi-decent indie vk band into a mediocre jpopcore qt boys project which deviated into a dir en grey rip off, and with deicida of silence/cunning killer combo they're stepping into western bs core, where terrible bands make same sounding terrible stuff and invent bullshit genre classification to sell their crap to basement dwellers... but why is 12012 doing this as with their s/t, the only good thing about DOS are undercode-leftoverish choruses in 身千切りの莟、奇しくも恍惚の桜, door 2 sky and 夢喰い chuggoo-chuggoo is almost there with 2010-2012 deg remakes, how come this track never ended in garbage bin (where gazette is currently fetching their ideas from) is beyond me I will be checking oricon for the few next weeks to come, I'm genuinely interested in their current sales (maybe they loaned a billion yen to self-promote now that they're on a private label), but this is probably their worst release to date, excluding the 2 major albums bc jpop can't be really compared to this nonsense props 4 keeping most of songs under 3 minutes, btw, this is how diru's DSS editing should have been done tbh. no props 4 not disbanding last december, there won't be a second date that fitting.

they sort of suck as of now tbh shake it down and ray of hope both start like some vagerke track, but weak selm'ish vocals and poor drumming don't help them, and third track is just bad
  4. nekkichi

this is so boring and pretentious
  5. are they celebrating miku's first botox injections with anti-aging track campaign?
  6. not really amused about anything, including police behavior in this. I know a few well educated Indians and they make great friends, but it's like half a billion of low-born scum over there, maybe more. they have interesting mating habits tho, kamasutra perhaps gets boring after a while. why is it here do Hongkongers despise Indians as much as Thais do? that's what I would do tbh lol.

anything that implies ~yaoi~ is VK by proxy

because it was ps company, pioneering the 3 type bullshit with Gazette's Reila (released as "lesson G", "O" and "D" types ), which was quickly picked up by every fad band throughout 2005 and later. before that everyone was fine with regular, limited, and in some cases, fan-club or live-only releases. and, actually, this DID single is the first thing in a long time to arrive in a ridiculous number of versions, it could even make a great kisaki joke tbh, but I don't comment on confirmed flops these days. if a certain person's username reflects their date of birth, they would have been 10 at the time this sad trend started, that explains why they don't really understand when I'm joking. @ricchubunny great song, thanks for posting.

cough-cough I've been suspicious they're signing to PSCompany and this 5 type cover fest thing is like the rillest proof possible (j/k) I hope they don't butcher amaryllis and nihilism bc late para:noir was probably the most amazing recent VK thing, and I'm sort of hating on their current drummer too & curious about new tracks as well

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO1curr
  11. nekkichi

biggest VK trolls ever also expecting major re-debut to become THE 2013 vk fad
  12. nekkichi

    going major? signing to PSC?
  13. nekkichi

really liking 4th track so far, but chowchow and door 2 sky are def nominating them for best unsraw copycat 2nd time in a row
  14. nekkichi

no one made a better april fool's joke, so this thread deserves its own yohio at least. @Velovelo you're the first person who assumes it's his dad, forcing him into a drag crapcore career. which basically could rechristen him as a visual kei courtney stodden of sorts, except it doesn't look like anyone really forced this thing. it's the same terrible brasilian-kei, except yahoi has more pocket money, and his career jump-started at universal, bc dad. also, @ sebbivism: WHERE IS YOUR REVIEW. [2]
  15. nekkichi

not likely, and he did release a few singles before, when they still ve been a relevant band
  16. nekkichi

    he looks pretty again
  17. nekkichi

they're stepping into arashi territory a little bit too far.
  18. nekkichi

I wonder if he means to release some solo stuff again
  19. nekkichi

did his dad snatch the whole print run, discounting its price heavily?
  20. nekkichi

he gets paid for sound mixing. their producing is done by Dynamite Tommy, who's been behind Dir en grey since 1998, or so, and used to have a good sense of what sells right now. I'm pretty sure it was him who hired T.M. in the first place, and the only reason he's doing it consequently is to gather recognition of the western metalheads. who, given the amount of promotion (almost non-existent), marketing budgets (see promotion), major labels interest (their parent label sony doesn't even bother pushing deg in the states), and last but not least, CD price in the US (compared to Japanese), just does not work that well. I would be fine with it if all Dir en grey TM records didn't sound like cliche western m3t0ll that idgaf about. more than that, while pre-wtd dir en grey records could benefit from a better mastering, their current sound annoys the hell out of me, and I honestly, prefer mastering that likes of D.I.D. do to what diru currently release. there's a similar line in the end of your review. there's nothing TM brings to their records that a domestic studio would not achieve. I don't understand their current shtick of preferring basement dwelling metal-heads over paying Japanese and pan-asian youth, because seriously, Asian CD market is still doing pretty well, sales are not dropping THAT much. HMV went bankrupt because of inefficient management (and I'm quoting an actual asian music industry insider on that) (and by the way, flagship HMV store has actually re-opened in HK central (read = insanely cash area) a month after that interview was published) I have no idea when this western fever ends for Dir en grey, but this should stop. if they want to keep profitable, they should go back to being an one of a kind export quality Asian band, and go back to being creative with music again. && by the way I'm glad they had a # 1 with this mini. cute past visual-ish photoshoots for rinkaku, and a decent title track for unravelling did the trick, it seems? a couple PVC skirts and some toshiya/shinya contouring will make them relevant in the long term again, I think. (lvl 3 irony alert jsyk)
  21. nekkichi

lotus sucks and hageshisato's been hardly generic at the time of its release, what's ur problem really oop @ dude part why u so basic, gurl
  22. nekkichi

the thing that bothers me most with unravelling is that the remake part of it has plenty good ideas and experimentation that is gone completely from their current material. bottom of dead valley, kasumi and karasu are one of my most loved tracks by this band, and no remake sounds better than original. that is a polite form of saying they fucked up all three completely, but they do deserve some credit for "effort" that they put into re-arrangement. the effort that would be way more appreciated if they actually bothered composing new songs and writing a set of new lyrics (because rehashing "yami ni manko, fukai wo chinko" lines and adding chugs here and there is not really hard. they could probably hire yohio for that too.) title track, on the other hand, is their most generic single song to date - yet, not a bad one. kyo's signature howling got old right after uroboros, I can't even comment on that. new macabre sounds like a humble excuse for all the cash grabbing they are doing after basement dwellers haven't bought three million $ 10 DSS copies at hot topic. oh and how could anyone not like the imbecilic chug fest of unknown despair lost, which is hilariously close to original otherwise. simply re-recording it would be not kvlt enough I see. & honestly I'm at the point of hating this band's present where the only excuse for falsettos would be a terminal cancerous tumor on kyo's vocal chords that forces him to howl pretty much all the time, otherwise he chokes on his own growls and dies. and how is that an excuse after all.
  23. nekkichi

rage vomitting @ 2.43 kasumi wahwahwahhss direngrey stop tue madsen gtfo ffs just disband already my ears hurt when he's bullshitting about integrity and ideas bc post-WTD diru is a definition of a basement metalhead sellout but it's obv hard to take him seriously, he's basically paid for praise as well
  24. why does that matter & why don't you use private messaging for irrelevant stuff like that. answering your question - because it looks whimsically. same whimsically as typing "elvise nine", "gzettae", "diruangrei", "jirokku", "yahoi", ettuzeteru.
