  1. What was SuG thinking with SHUDDUP? What a convoluted mess of half assed songs... even the production quality is not on par with recent releases, can't really understand. Most of the tracks sounds like boring fillers of their boring ass 2011~2012 period. Zig Zag could be decent with a bit more work, maaybe Fly Wyverns, and Scream it Louder is ok/good. You can pass on the rest and go back to BLACK or VIRGIN

Ah, it was meant to be inspired by British Punk. Well.. the Chorus of the song "Kill Kill" seems to be based from Emotive Hardcore, which is technically Punk (Hardcore Punk/Post hardcore mixed with Indie rock). Though it would be more of Washington DC Hardcore/Post Hardcore instead of British, but a lot of Emotive Hardcore bands are popular in Britain (I.E AFI and Aiden) so I guess there is some authentic punk influence?

IDK, it's really not my place to judge, since I'm not really a fan of SuG, nor do I know much about them.

I'm really surprised because to me, SHUDDUP is a very good album. I'm tired of songs like teenAge dream and it's the style of music that I expect from them. It's true that the album could have been a lot more edgy but it's just more "messy" than usual. For me, it lacks a good heavy song, which could have replaced ZIG ZAG which is the only song that I find boring. It seems to come straight out of the end of Thrill Ride Pirates. But we all seem to agree that the dark SuG is much better than the colorful (that's what I think of all bands like this).

@chemicalpicturesThey have plenty of songs harder than MISSING, which is closer to what you are criticizing with KILL KILL (in my opinion). Their heaviest track is actually Extreme fall from the album Thrill Ride Pirates, but there are also many other songs like sleazy ARMY blood, fat inside horror, SWEET COUNT DOWN, KARMA DISCORD, yellow strider, V.I.P GOBLINZ etc.

@Willenyeah, I don't know if I've worded my comment correctly. I find MISSING a more "mature", let's call that, composition than the ones you mentioned, which goes way better in my tastes. There's no "edgy playful" (02:27~02:36 section in sleazy ARMY blood for example), no quirky rap (SWEET COUNTDOWN, Extreme fall), no Takeru trying to be funny, just a straightforward rock piece. Not saying the ones you mentioned are bad, not at all. They just are full of SuG signatures I sometimes get tired of. And there's the fact that Shinpei drumming is so much better in later SuG, this always makes a hell of a difference for me. So I can't really see how Kill Kill is anywhere MISSING in those aspects. KK is filled of corny hip-hop SEs, lame shout-y sections just for the shows, not much of a interesting instrumental work besides the chorus... yellow strider does a much better job at being a early punk-influenced song, while Smells Like Teen Spirits is a perfect example of a pop-influenced heavy song done right, at least in my books.

ZIG ZAG gives me mid-section BLACK vibes, as in FRIDAY!! or sweeToxic, It really makes me think it was a cut out song from BLACK, or smh like that.
