True Detective S1 - absolutely terrific story about two detectives as they try solve the mystery surrounding a murder. Bear is right about the show being less about the mystery, and more about the characters. But the story does not disappoint, everything about the show from the writing to visualization is amazing. The Lovecraftian cosmic-horror overtones make this show really special, and one of the creepiest things I've watched in a long time. I cannot wait for season 2, but I wouldn't be disappointed if this were the only season. 10/10 In Fear - low budget horror movie about a couple that get's lost in the English (?) countryside. Heard good things about it, sadly it didn't live up to the hype. Starts off really good does a great job of building tension, but really blows it halfway through. The script dragged it down, and the acting was only okay. Then it get's packed full of cliches, and gets really predictable/boring from there. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. 4/10

...I hate to be that (x-band was better when they started) person, but I really miss '08-'09 Moran. I tried but I just can't get into the new line-up or the music they've put out since Apples. But the preview for "Fairy Tale" sounds cute! I hope we get a pretty, dreamy ballad in the vein of "Element" or "Kimi no ita gosenfu".

I'm sorry but fuck this "you're just looking to be offended" mentality. Just because I noticed a bunch of sexism in the show doesn't mean that I wasn't paying attention to the story. Honestly it would be a lot harder to go through those two episodes and try to ignore all of the sexist bullshit. And "a little fanservice" are we even talking about the same show? A huge amount of the fight scene (with the boxing guy) is the camera slowly panning up over her body, and the camera zooms in on her breasts and crotch when the suit gets tighter. I can only assume that the male gaze only gets stronger as the show progresses. Oh you mean she was just supposed to embrace the living sailor uniform that literally stripped her naked and forced itself on her without her consent. Fuck that. It was incredibly uncomfortable to watch, unfunny, and reads like a rape scene. A woman's sexuality and femininity should not defined by her having to embrace a sexual assailant that forced her to wear a stupidly revealing outfit. Thanks but no thanks, that crap about having to "accept" the godrobe sickened me. I'm done with the show. And lol over-the-top sexism is minor now? Keep letting that conformation bias blind you.

I just watched the first and second episodes of KLK, and it's making me really uncomfortable. Everyone is taking about the animation (which is stunning and it's praise is well-deserved), but unsurprisingly I have yet to see any complaints here about the rampant sexism in the show. I don't have an issue with fanservice (I don't like it but it's inevitable in a male dominated medium like this), but the fact that the fanservice in the first two episodes revolved around shaming and removing autonomy from the main character is what I have an issue with. I'm gonna stick it out and watch one more episode; may it'll change my mind about the show.

I got a pax vaporizer for Christmas that I'm very grateful for, but it hasn't seen much use since the new year. I've stopped smoking for a while for personal reasons, but it was really easy to use and clean. Definitely recommend it to anyone that's just starting vaping and looking for something discreet.

SPOILER FILLED RANT I really regret getting so invested in the show, it was a fun train wreck tho. But jfc everything the show got so convoluted and the ending felt rushed. The whole premise of the season "A witch academy" got lost really early, and the last two episodes showed just how awesome the season could have been had the show remained focused on the subject matter. I mean wtf is the Axe-man. And the plot holes, don't even get me started. Like how did Cordelia go from ayy lmao alien to pretty/normal after completing the seven wonders? Also Misty didn't deserve to go out like that! That was such a shit move of the writers to damn one of the nicest characters to an eternal hell. Her hell was also a lot worse than the other girls' hells. I can't believe I had such high hopes for this season

This isn't a bad a idea, but I don't think it's really necessary. Why do we need these prefixes to tell us information that is already on almost every title in the News forum? I like and have grown accustomed that the prefixes only belong to the DL threads. If you were add these labels for the News threads too, then navigating the View New Content page would be a bit confusing and look like a rainbow threw up on it.

Oh my god I love the new look! Love the concept of them attending their own funeral. At least that's what it looks like to me since those are older pictures of them in the back. I really hope this means they're also experimenting with their sound and bringing some fresh new ideas. God knows they need it. They can only make so many frantic noisy songs before they all start to sound alike... some of them already do imo.

yaaasss Kayoko Yoshizawa! You said you liked it, but I didn't think it'd make it on your list. Absolutly love the way you describe her music! I'm also very excited for whatever she does next. Also really happy to see Wakusei Abnormal's Anata Sonata! It's getting a lot of shit for not being as experimental as Nandemonai... but this something else entirely. I haven't heard such lovely and charismatic pop music like this for a while now. I think I like it more than their debut tbh. I didn't know Terra Tenebrosa and Kayo Dot had released a new album, I gotta get on that asap. Already had Sunbather's album downloaded, but I just haven't been in the right mood for it. Gonna make sure to listen to that one when I'm in the right mood, because I've seen it on a lot of people's end of the year lists. Digging the previews for Hedvig Mollestad Trio, Scale the Summit, and chou chou merged syrups. I'll definitley be coming back to this list whenever I'm in the mood for something different.
