I feel like Japanese regular edition CDs are not outlandishly priced, it's the freaking shipping that puts them up into outlandish territory when all is said and done. I remember when American CDs cost about 20 bucks on average. Idk when they came down, but I paid that price and didn't like it, but I don't really think it's ridiculous.

Best album of the year so far is YB's Reel Impulse. I'm super doubtful anything can top it.

I agree with you in recommending Mirrors for someone who has never heard them before, but I personally got into them when Coll:set came out and it didn't dissuade me lol. But I think that was more because it was along the lines of stuff that I was already listening to at the time.

I don't think I have any of these lol. Generally if I respect a band's musicianship, I also like them. I don't really spare a thought for bands and artists I don't like. Yeah, I thought and thought and I got nothing.

I think nearly everyone missed the point of this thread lol. It's not about what describes your taste in music or what you look for in "good" music, it's about how would you tell someone else exactly why you like a band or a song without going, oh it's catchy electro-dance pop and that's my jam man. It's not even necessarily about telling someone why a band should be considered good, but why YOU enjoy listening to them. Good article, to sum up.

Agree, lol. Though this could be said about nearly every other "big" VK band out there. It's always cooler to like either the first or second album of the band. Personally I can't really decide on a favorite of theirs. I have the most plays of REDEEMER, but the most loved songs off of MONSTERS.
