(1996~2003 | 2012) La'Mule were a pretty influential band from the late 90's that I know has a fairly large fanbase here, which has me surprised that there wasn't already an artist thread for them. They're mostly known for their bloody costumes and catchy melodies, although their first and last looks were much more subdued than what I usually associate with their name. This band is a lot of fun. Never really checked out early Merry since I kind of missed that boat, but I do enjoy their 2013~onwards stuff. I bought Kindai Black recently thinking it was a new release, but I definitely enjoy it in spite of realizing it was actually released over a year ago 🙃

Agreed that it's lame, but the mentality might be that their early singles are no longer available and were released independently, so this album is a way to get all of them in one spot and under RR's licensing. Alternatively, and _completely speculation_ , they might be looking to leave RR soon and didn't want to invest the time and money into recording more than a handful of songs for this album when they can just bundle up all their old works and make a sort-of-best-of album before jumping ship. I mean, with the name they chose and that the type-b bonus track means "goodbye," I don't think it's super farfetched ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I didn't really read the article closely, but it seems like the company that produced Shoxx and a few other magazines as well went under, not Shoxx itself specifically. They could have been doing fine but not well enough to keep the other publications afloat.
