I was right about predicting when Malisend would disband, so maybe I'll make lightning strike twice with this list!!! -As already said, Malisend x Mediena hybrid band à la Valluna --> Diaura -Devil Kitty remain independently produced, covering Gokiburi songs until mid-year, then release a new single on a new Yuuga-fronted label with a weird name (idk something like "Cool Tunez inc") -Pentagon go major -Arelquin churn out a new album but remain with Goemon for another year -Grieva start taking influence from 2002~2006 Diru -Kuro Yuuri to Kage get a new drummer, but someone else leaves -Kisaki does a bunch of other session bands and sponsors more concert series that bring back really cool bands who are now in their 50's -Another Agitation Clysis omnibus series of bands no one has ever heard of, plus one with a bunch of relevant vkei bands that didn't bother to select new songs -Announcement for a new Versailles album for some time in 2018 -D releases around 4 new singles and one of them has surprisingly good b-sides. A-sides are trash as per usual -This is Wataru's year

I just started playing ranked for the first time. lmao it was so awful. I've lost like 5 in a row and am rapidly slipping down the elo rabbit hole. I'll add you to my PS4 friend's list, but I seem to have a knack for getting put on teams who don't like to work together.

Avanchick's album ended up charting in the top-10 on Oricon, in spite of it only being 4 new songs.

Phantasmagoria released 26 ~unique~ songs in the span of 6 years, which is an average of 4 and 1/3 songs a year. Keep in mind, they also had 10 or so "albums"
-
Excluding remakes, remixes, omnibus tracks, and releases, Penicillin has released 234 unique songs. That's around 10 songs a year which isn't that much compared to some of the bands listed here, however they've also been around since 1992. 17+ albums is still quite prolific

Ohh I was thinking about making a thread like this! Good thing you did too, cause I just found out that a bunch of favorites are on there haha One thing I would add is if there are regional limitations for artists. I remember Kamijo had a single on Spottyfly and then region locked it, then re-released it after his 20th anniversary album came out. From the few I've clicked through, it seems like that doesn't seem to be much of an issue. One thing to note is that there are two artists named Kiryu on the "Kiryu" page, both are sort of visual-kei related. One is the colorful enka-metal one that releases a single every 4 hours, and the other is the solo project of someone who I cannot remember. I'll add to this list as I find more examples.

Last.fm finally did something cool this year and compiled a dashboard of various data visualizations based on each user's listening habits. http://www.last.fm/user/Le_newtype/listening-report/year This is the kind of content that I keep last.fm around for. Granted, I don't use it as much as I used to aside from hooking Spotify into it, so things like loved tracks have fallen to the wayside, but it's always fun to see what the year sounded like for me. To see your own, either click here or use my link above and swap out my username for yours.
