  1. Olympics-2012.jpeg

Anybody watching these? I don't watch sports ever, but every four years I enjoy watching the Olympics games. My favorite categories to watch have to be the diving, swimming and gymnastics. Both for men and women. The incredible and crazy things the athletes do are pretty amazing.

  2. Zess: Interferencedemon

First things first, this mix had an awesome flow. I thought each song nicely transitioned from one to the other. There were lot’s of noisy guitars and walls of sound. I was already familiar with the awesomeness that is melt banana, 101a and School food punishment. But the bands I really liked and want to hear more of are Sgt, obscure and the last artist on the album which I can’t copy and paste. The one that did wormhole. Hands down those bands had my favorite songs of the mix. Enjoyed the whole mixtape

    Champ:The Not-so-usual-metal-Mix

The title of the mix definitely lives up to the songs. They’re not your usual metal songs. ( I think I did the complete opposite of this mix with my own metal compilation.) I like the variety of the songs and how a good song flow was still maintained. There’s some epic sounding songs too. Heard everything from pianos, saxophones, organs, wind instruments and funky guitars. There wasn’t any song I didn’t like, but my favorites ones have to be, Elephant, Shining Human Skin, The Curse of Gypsy and The Opposition. Want more of the bands who did those songs.

Will review the remaining mixtapes later.

  3. Songs from some metal bands I've currently been into. There's some technical stuff, some death, sludge, experimental and melodic stuff. There's no actual theme that ties the songs together, however most of them either are, or have a progressive metal feel to them. I wouldn't call it call it a typical selection, but if you like the heavy stuff , there's plenty of material to headbang to.

  4. Leafwork - Ambient 1

I also don't listen to much ambient music but I have been listening to a lot of music that uses ambient passages and electronic music in general. I'm actually in the middle of creating my first EP and it borrows from techno, to ambient, trip-hop and orchestral stuff. So the album as a whole was interesting and inspiring to listen to. Creating long songs with textures, or minimal sounds is challenging in itself. I think this type of music isn't for everyone but it'll get you in a relaxed mood. The second half of the album was my favorite. I've got new electronic artists to look up now.

  5. The Thing. 1982 verison. It was fucking awesome.

Sure is!! :) By the way, I actually kinda liked the new one too (not really a remake, more like a prequel).

Also all this previous talk about Rec makes me want to watch the most recent follow ups. I've seen the first, but had no idead there was a 2nd or even a 3rd one.

Still haven't seen the 3rd one yet myself, but I totally recommend the 2nd movie! One of the best horror sequels ever in my opinion (sometimes even surpassing the first one).

    My last movie: They Live

Saw it for the 2nd time, liked it this time better. Also, what a coincidence, also a John Carpenter film! :D

Haven't seen the newer version of The Thing so I can't compare. But I have heard less than favorable things about it.

And i also enjoyed Carpenters They Live. Wish I had those cool shades and I love that long ass alley fight.

Last Movie I saw was The Rage. Awful awful movie. Horrible acting, plot, story, dialogue and special effects.

  7. Everything. If its on my 160 Gigabyte Ipod it passed my initial screening test and I like the music enough to keep on my pc and MP3 player. I have about 90 gigs of music right now.14,000 songs and increasing. The only time I've deleted songs is when I replace 320kps space whore rips with my own transcoded 192kps rips. Yeah, I know "technically" it's of lesser quality but I'm satisfied with the end result and don't want to run out of space too fast and then have to get another Ipod.

  9. Like the covers and previews. And I actually liked toxic and I still don't get what was with all the hate that album got. It might have been one of their weaker releases, but it was far from being the atrocious horrible album people were making it out to be. Anyway looking forward to Division.

  10. The album is just half assed wanna be early SP riffs and trying too hard to reclaim old sound. Utterly boring.

I half agree with this. I went in expecting a gish sound and all I heard was a couple of few riffs that reminded of their early albums. I was actually hoping for that Pumpkins sound but it doesn't really sound like them at all. At least Zeitgeist still had that going for it. Oceania sounds completely different from everything else they've done. I think is why I was disappointed at first. Since I went expecting a pumpkins sound. After a while I realized its just a okay/good rock album.

  11. Official name for the new album is Battle Born and will be released sometime in the fall.

This new song debuted yesterday. I thought it was okay at first listen, but it's really grown on me. It's like Day & Age with some Sam's Town.

The Amazing Spider-Man is a 2012 American superhero film directed by Marc Webb based on Marvel Comics' Spider-Man. It is the fourth Columbia Pictures film that portrays Spider-Man in film and is a reboot of the Sam Raimi film series with Andrew Garfield as the title role of the superhero. The cast also includes Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors. The film will portray Parker as his super powers are evolving in high school and will explore him trying to discover the truth behind the death of his parents, and discovering himself in the process. The film will also feature artificial webs fired from custom designed wrist-mounted guns, which are invented by Parker as they were in the comic book series, rather than the organic webs depicted in the previous films.

Like seriously, does this movie even need a synopsis? Anybody going/have seen this? I wasn't too thrilled about the new direction and new actors when I first heard about it. Then I saw the trailer and it looked amazing. Emma stone seems to pull off a good Gwen Stacy, but I'm still not sure about Andrew Garfield as spiderman. I think I still prefer Tobey Maguire. Heard good things about the movie so far.
