ILU Though is Dauto really a candidate for major status? I wasn't aware they were doing that well. D: As for the whole verses thing, I wouldn't take too much stock in it. Usually when the playbill is all band1 Vs. band2 I've found it's just a "cute" way of saying 2 headliners. It's usually not any kind of battle or vote. Taking into consideration this is PSC carnival though there may be something to it but I doubt it would be anything big. I'm also really questioning whether the stars will be the shuffle band. If I remember correctly the news posted for the shuffle band said they would debut on the Session night, I'm thinking the stars are just there merely for surprise (each will probably be different) and I would go as far as to say the final day (17th) stars are very possibly The Gazette but that's just my own speculation.

SADS is actually the only Kiyoharu related project I like. I'm not in love with kiyoharu vocals per se so my whole thing was more so just the style of music as it was hella fun to rock out to and was the kind of stuff I liked listening to at the time. I still bump their albums, particularly TRGGM, on occasion mostly for nostalgia. Not really too fond of their comeback material though, not that it's bad, just hasn't hit me the same way.

Yea, I thought it was widely known that it's just the same people behind both songs and I'm not even a beyonce fan in the slightest lol. I'm just thinking if she actually tried to claim it as her own that would be beyond stupid. So I'm inclined to think it's a false rumor but you never know =3 lol oopsy-daisy, Time to exit stage left.

She hasn't claimed it as her own as far as I know and it would be silly of her or her management to do so. Her song was produced by Major Lazer (I can't remember if it was just one or both of them) so they just recycled their own material for the song.

I hope it's real just so I can lawl forever at "UNTIL THE END OF MY SCREAMING". D: Anyhoo, I am super excited for this album. I liked Lotus and Hageshisa to... but I wasn't necessarily blown away by either. Still that was pretty similar to my feelings towards the singles before UROBOROS as well, and that turned out awesome, so no worries here.

Like the idea of this thread so here is my contribution. Artist: Xylos Album: Xylos Genre: Indie, Electronic, Dream Pop (? - according to other sources anyway, I suck with genres.) Release date: 4/5/11 Length: 38:50 Tracklist (with the song names): 01. Darling Dearest 02. X Ray 03. Second Order 04. Blind Eye 05. Not Enough 06. Wrapped In A Page 07. Too Late 08. Suburbia 09. Mission 10. Dust yLE2zhwnbSg 4shared (you can preview/stream the song without downloading it): Blind Eye Mission Probably one of the most recent albums I've fallen in love with. I love Heidemann's vocals and music wise they have some hints of shoegaze that I enjoy. They also kinda sorta reminds me of the 80's. They had a 5-song EP called Bedrooms they released approx. 3 years ago and I think the time taken between the two was worth it (though bedrooms was good as well). I don't really think there's a bad song on the album either though some will probably stick with me ore than others. 9/10. EDIT: going to try Aion's, since it sounds like something I can enjoy.

^That was cute =) My Brief take on the album: Upon first listen of the album, it sounded much better than I'd expected. Even the songs I didn't enjoy prior seemed to fit much better in the context of it all. After a few more listens though the initial "wow" kinda wore off. Overall it's an okay album and I'm glad that I liked a few songs from it. Those being : Government Hooker, Bloody Mary, Heavy metal Lover and Electric Chapel. Still like Edge of Glory as well but it's also worn off of me a bit. Haven't heard the special edition tracks tho.

Tried to vote yesterday but for some reason couldn't. Luckily I was able to today. I've also been making sure everyone I asked votes again, since they tend to forget. Hoping you get back to second. D:

*waves hand* I'll find something more constructive to add in a little bit (since I'm kinda multi-tasking atm) but I do enjoy many of the bands already listed here and I'm glad to see this thread around. Also welcome KJI, glad you've come out of hiding.

*spazzing* I'm in love. Now that's what I'm talking about! I like Blue Flame but it's just okay and wouldn't really be my favorite or anything so I get the general underwhelming consensus, but hearing this reassured me in my belief that the b-sides were going to be amazing. I'm not sure what I expected a reconstructed version of the song to sound but it wasn't this and I'm pleasantly surprised. Can't wait to hear the proper recording. If Zankyo Whiteout is even 1/3 as happening as G3 I'll be a happy camper.

Voted and will get some of my friends to vote too. =)

Chocolate covered marshmallows an Xylos's mission and dust in succession.

Looking forward to this. =)

Not feeling it really, the section around 1:40 mark to when the second chorus kicks in is pretty cool but the rest of it all just seems to be a little too much... like the different components could mesh better but instead it sounds messy to me. Also, though I think the sax works for Edge of Glory, I think Hair could really have done without. Not sure where I'll rank within the released tracks except that it doesn't top EoG but it could be a grower as kir said, so I'll give it some time to stew.
-
So far yea this is the best of the 3 for me. BTW really never got me and Judas while better still was lukewarm. The chorus is kinda meh and the sax parts towards the end are a little much but there are some cool parts that balance that out and overall I like it. It's nostalgic and upbeat and definitely something I can bop along to every now and then. I haven't had any high expectations for this album but this song guarantees that I will at least give it a good listen.

The song was played on Tora's radio program and it's being posted around. Sound quality is poor but from what one can gleam from it, I like it. Also the PV was played at the end of the FC live and it seems like it's the shoot they were talking about some time back where they were each put in some kind of uncanny situation. I'm interested now in the PV if it sounds like there's actually going to be some kind of story and hopefully this means we'll get to see it pretty soon. EDIT: By now I've listened to it a few times and I still like it but not blown away or anything. I'm not sure I expected to be though as more than anything I was just hoping it wouldn't be a colossal disaster after that album. The structure is a little too similar to Cross Game which has never been a favorite of mine so that weighs on me but the guitar sound reminds me of le' grand and the balance and the level of instrumentation reminds me of the album. So I feel like it's classic A9 but refined and updated. That said if that's the case it goes without saying for me that the b-sides will probably do the trick as I tend to fall for them much more than the A-sides to begin with and if the latter two points resonate (of course I'll be better able to tell with a better rip) they should be excellent.

So far it's been just dandy. Sticking strictly to Japanese music. After a little more than a year both my favorite bands released new albums. Both of which exceeded my expectations. In the case of DAI, EIGHT turned out to be the album I thought they should've released after coming back. Not to say that Eternal Flame was bad but the albums seem like they should be inverse chronologically as Eight sound more like a "hey we're back bitches" imo and EF has that 2nd album vibe. In the case of A9's Gemini, well the last.fm plays say it all I guess, especially since I don't scrobble much to begin with. It's almost everything I want/knew they could be and it reaffirmed my allegiance. So those things are already enough to make me feel peachy but on top of that I also found myself really, reallly, really enjoying. Aie- hikarika 女王蜂- 魔女狩り Onsoku line's - onsoku no owari XA-VAT - Endo 打首獄門同好会 - なわけで、それがし打首獄門同好会ですよろしくダカダダンジャーン BlieAN - Monolith Radwimp's latest stuff Paperbaglunchbox - ground disco etc. (as in I'm probably missing stuff) That said I've been pretty much J-music free since mid-march so I have a lot of stuff to catch up on and to possibly add.
