Filth - Based on the Irvine Welsh novel of the same name. Really, really fucking solid adaptation, if you ask me. I really like the novel and I think the film does it justice. Solid acting, especially by James McAvoy in the lead role. The black comedy and dramatic elements mix very, very well, and the way the main character is sort of mentally unraveling as the movie progresses is intriguing to watch. You'll almost start feeling bad for him. Almost. Ah, and Scottish accents are awesome, of course.

It Follows: Ah, yeah, i always knew the ''D'' in STD stood for ''Demons''... So the moral of the story can be either ''Don't forget about safe sex, kids!'' or ''Be the biggest slut possible to avoid getting killed by the magical sex demon''. I liked it, slick visual style, nice cast, nice soundtrack. Actually glad we don't find out very much about the supernatural evil element in the movie at all, keeps things mysterious. The sort of strange anachronistic technology all over the place helped give it a dreamlike atmosphere too. Can't wait for the sequel where they'll let te monster drive a cool car

Plok is one of those old-ass platformer games from the SNES era. Sort of follows the Rayman school of design where everything looks cutesy but then the game pins you to the wall and pounds your ass hard when you're not expecting it. Even the developers have supposedly admitted that they could've probably toned down the difficulty lol I'm also playing Mega Man X6 at the same time... Damn, even after all those years, i can't BELIEVE how much of a broken piece of shit this game is lmao

I was just curious what people's thoughts on using savestates were, some people consider it ''cheating'' to use emulator tools for instance. I, for one, do use savestates in just about every emulator except for the PS1 one for some reason. Can't live without that turbo/speed up button when playing some older games either tbh
