  1. Congrats on the 10 years.

I don't remember how I found this place; all I know I joined in the beginning or nearly the beginning. Probably through Tonberry back when I went under a different name. I've always lurked, sometimes posted. Never really left.

I may not remember everything that's happened in the 10 years that have passed, but I've been here long enough to say that this place is something special, and it doesn't feel like 10 years have passed at all.

  2. Got back into anime pretty hard recently thanks to various factors. This is also why I signed up for MyAnimeList recently, to keep track of what I've watched, since I went on a huge DBZ nostalgia binge.

Haven't read manga in a while, but I have a small collection of books that I'd like to expand on. I may start going partially digital for manga... but buy the books of things I really love if I can find them.

  3. My mom doesn't seem to particularly notice or care, unless she hears something she enjoys (which is really rare - visual kei or not). She's not super keen into music. She'll ask about it when I get CDs, but beyond that, nothing.

Brother doesn't care too much, either. Unless he hears something he likes, he won't pay attention to it. Difference being he actually enjoys music and has knowledge about musical stuff.

For both, I don't think they have even seen the look, just heard the music. If they have they don't particularly care or have never mentioned it.

Edit: went with the last option, since there is no "neutral" option.

  4. Going with "What I have physically" vs "What I have on my PC". I'd have to sift through far too much stuff otherwise.

    What I own physically:
Oldest: 1991: nomeansno - Sex Mad / You Kill Me (I don't know where this came from but it's in my CD collection? *shrug*)
Newest: 2015.01.14: Kenshi Yonezu - Flowerwall

    What I have on PC:
    Oldest: 1979: P-MODEL - IN A MODEL ROOM
    Newest: 2015.03.25: Ziyoou-vachi - Kirei

  5. As far as I know, there were 3 other versions of the tapes. The tapes were also released together in a box set that came with matching covers for one of the members, a sticker and a signed photo. I somehow ended up with 3 of these box sets, each for a different member XD

That sounds cool. I'd love to see it.

As for the Ruritama stuff, I will be uploading it all as a discography very soon (next couple days or so). I want to post it with my own scans of the tapes, because for one of the tapes the pictures are radically different (the other it's just the main picture). I might not be able to right away, but I do have scans of the CD, so that's something!

I'm always down to post the rips what I buy as long as it's asked for, for anyone interested.

  6. Double review since I was lazy about the last one.

First package took a lot longer to get here, but that was due to Panda's HDD crashing. That is understandable, so no harm done. Beyond that, sastified as ever with the items.

I didn't know the Gackt CD was a cardboard thing and slipcover.

    Order was:
    BLAM HONEY - GRANDIOSE DELUSION
lab. - DUB NOTE (30min. EYES ONLY version)
    Gackt - MOON
the Clock work orange - make the most of the vogue
    キシュ-qiche- feat.Hisame - Light

Second package I just recieved, my first demo-tape order. Recieved the rips right after ordering, and they're a lot better than the ones I had. Even with my crappy speakers I could hear the difference.

BUT! I wasn't expecting them to come in cute cellophane wrapping but it appears that's original to the tape (?). Also learned there's at least four variants of the covers - these are clearly different than the ones over at evil-en-lucifer and various shops. I'm wondering how many were released overall.

    Order was:
    るりたま(Ruritama) - カツオの荒けずり節
    るりたま(Ruritama) - ワカメの荒もみつ節

Kinda inactive this week so most of this is from what's on my phone. Top artist is surprising, but I had just gotten around to listening to Quiet Night and kinda got hooked on Christmalo.win.

  8. I honestly can't remember most of the details, but I remember this was during a period where I hated most music at the time.
I know the whole love affair for visual kei and Japanese music started back when I first obtained a PC, MSN groups and chat rooms existed, and I was looking for character inspiration OR someone linked me to a group that had pictures of Dir en grey and Malice Mizer and a bunch of other bands. The place I remember the most that had pictures still exists, but is on Facebook now.

As for my current favorite band/artist, his vocaloid production work and art style drew me in initally. Then I heard he had a solo career and was instantly hooked. As for how I got into the vocaloid stuff, that I can't remember.

  9. @Replicant

That sound bad. Does that recovered fully? I have had a lot of lip piercings (around 10~13 - not at the same time), and some of them [around 8]are clearly visible, even though I removed all of them... 6 or 7 years ago.

It recovered, and I removed it later and it healed just fine (I made sure to clean it after I removed it too). There's just a very small spot where it used to be, which is hard to notice unless I point it out. (My old lip piercing spots are actually more noticible...) Most people don't even know I had my eyebrow done at one point.

  10. I would very much love to have a septum piercing (the bull one discussed by sai on page 2, see here for pic) and/or a labret piercing (the one I instantly fell in love with due to Naruto's Kanon character having one. The one Des on page 1 said she likes, see here for pic)

I have no idea if this goes here too, but because of MEJIBRAY's Tsuzuku, I've become ever so fond of the split tongue

The only problem is, not only due to my mum and nan's discontent with trying to get any of these done, my family have had bad reactions to just ear piercings. It was only recently my older brother had a massive scar tissue, a growth on his ear, from just having a stud. That could just be due to bad caring of it, I haven't spoken about it with him in depth since no one in my family are interesting in any kind of piercings. I'd love to have any facial piercings to be honest. I'm not worried about the pain and I don't mind waiting until I move out to get them. It's just if I do have some kind of reaction to it bothers me. Maybe starting off with just piercing my ears is for the best...

I also have to question is they'd even suit me. I don't care what others think, I personally believe I'd feel I'd look appealing with piercings. I'm rather plain looking aha. I'm sure many of you already know what I look like, but if not, I can link to the 'Show Yourself' thread. I did post about 4 pics there in recent posts, lmao. But the above thought is my main concern for now.

    Also, guys, your piercings are so incredible! Very jelly~ ;w;

I have had issues with piercings. This is because they were done with a gun when I was a kid (like 12 or something?) and didn't know better. I've had to get them repierced as an adult and it went so much better since a proper needle was used. There's also a family history of sensitivity to metals in jewellry, which is why I wear stainless steel or glass plugs for the most part.

DO NOT get pierced with a piercing gun. Or anything you cannot autoclave (safety pins, sewing needles, etc.) These things cannot be properly cleaned/autoclaved and rip through the skin, where as a piercing needle will make a clean hole and will only be used once. (The end of a proper piercing needle is hollow and sharpened. They also come pre-sterlized and sealed.)

If your family has a history of bad reactions like allergies, tell the person that's doing your piercing. There are other things you can have as initial jewellry that shouldn't give you an allergic reaction. As for your brother's piercing growth, it's more than likely poor caring/cleaning or bad jewellry. But can't say for sure.

Hopefully some of this info helps.

    On topic though:

I currently have two ear piercings, and previously had two lip piercings. My ears are currently at 0g and 10g respectivly and I have no intents on stretching further. I retired the lip piercings a while back. I did have an eyebrow ring as well, but an accident nearly ripped it out. (Someone accidently swung a pair of jeans at my face and it caught.) I don't have pictures because I don't take pictures of myself.

I plan on getting my ears done again in the future. No timeframe laid out.

I may get a septum, but I'd never hear the end of it if I did.

  11. Facebook for friends and family only. Family mostly as a way of contacting. Friends are mostly gaming friends from MMOs and such (and with the MH group now...)

Twitter for following people and giveaways.

Google+ for the same as both above.

    Tumblr for random nonsense.

    Pinterest to look at pictures.

Livejournal for music stuff but it's basically dead now. I replaced it with a new tumblr for mostly music stuff to tie back to this one. Yay.

last.fm for stats on music habits and posting lyrics.

I only am mildly active on Tumblr and last.fm. The others I don't post on even a semi-regular basis.
