so excited about this!!! but worried at the same time because Vkei situation in Europe is hilarious bad.
sometimes i want to kick lazy people asses for crying that everything is too expensive or too far away etc. you can order flight, buses tickets right now for so cheap, take day off right now and don't wait for the last day. it's not B7Klan who's bringing them here, so you can be calm. Concerts won't be cancelled :'D

That's great! Not a big fan of them but I'm happy that it isn't B7KLAN who's handling the tour, I'll still try to go if there's a gig in Paris or another city in France. Also looking forward for you to bring other bands in the future

Just tell yourself it's not permanent, try not to stay in contact with them, and do enjoyable things to get your mind off of it (at first it won't work well, but eventually it will work).

This! I traveled to see Years & Years in Osaka and mostly ended up watching the whole show through two bitches' phones. We weren't even near the front so the quality they were getting was absolute garbage, and in no way justifiable for ruining the concert experience of everyone around them.

Whenever I see concert footage from overseas, the audience is singing so loud and off key it's like why bother going? I'm not sure when concerts became karaoke duet timez with the band, but it's rude af. Or maybe Western artists should do like Japanese artists and specify certain verses of certain songs that are okay to have the audience sing.

I generally frown on recording during lives, but if it's unnoticeable and for your personal enjoyment only, then hey you do you.

The middle of the crowd is not a space to take photos or record videos. It's one of the reasons why I rarely go to concerts anymore, I don't want to pay a lot of money just to struggle to see anything. Recording the audio through the phone in someone's pocket is ok, though. It doesn't disturb anyone.

But how about just experiencing the moment? Though I kinda regretted not recording today's Gotcharocka live since they played some acoustic songs and it sounded great.

but I agree with the others. Video recording is annoying as fuck.
I'll tell you who I am to dictate how other people should enjoy a concert. Today everyone goes on and on about rights but they forget that a person's rights stop once they step over someone else's, and their annoying recording is interfering with my right to enjoy a performance without seeing a bunch of cameras.

Didnt they say before the concerts that no recordings are allowed? (at least in the 3 lives Ive seen in Tokyo it was like that)

And I have the feeling that while doing all the recording etc. etc. stuff ppl misses a big part of the show, they have to be quiet to not ruin the audio, still to have a good image, checking the phone from time to time to see everything is ok...Dunno, I just miss the times when you went to a concert and nobody was holding a cellphone or similar...just a few traditional small cameras to take a couple of pics.

How do people unironically like this vocalist? The music itself and the look are fine, but the vocalist is seriously Pinokiwo or Elektel Shiki-tier

i think this hits the nail on the head of this problem.
when you're looking to curate something (and i believe this is a large part of an organizer's job), you need to know your shit and actually care about the acts you're bringing.
taking a quick look at the VK acts b7klan are working with, my first thought is 'i don't believe you for a second that you actually believe these bands have potential in europe'.

When actual quality acts that still have some relevance comes, it does gather a decent amount of audience. The problem is when you bring flops like Adams and glorified karaoke in the form of satsuki and then wonder why no one shows up. They dilute the interest in the scene and when casuals see and wonder if this is the best vk can bring they'll move on to something else.
The tour organisers have a large responsibility in that things are the way they are right now.

In all honesty though, the tour organizers also kind of contributed to killing off the European scene themselves. I mean, I know they were probably cheaper to fly over than the artists people actually WANT to see, but did they really feel that bringing over ""quality"" acts of a 'literally who?'-level such as HITT or The Fool like 200 times was gonna change the game for the better?

This is a very sad outcome.

it seems to me as if this was far from the outcome the band wanted.

as a promoter and agent myself, I belive it's a matter of responsibility.
the bands job is to perform the concerts, and it's the promoter job to well... promote (it's in the job title) and make sure tickets are sold.

it seems in the comment from B7 they blamed the lack of interest, and if that was the case they should have put more effort into creating more interest.

I do not read Japanese, but someone said the band stated in their message that there were 'problems with the local organizer' (as in B7Klan). B7Klan also announced a new concert in Paris from a Korean group merely a week ago, I doubt they suddenly got the idea to cancel everything in the matter of a week.

Most of the time it's the way people voice their opinions, than said opinions themselves. Not only in music, but basically in every other field there's this problem, where someone can't say they simply don't like something, no matter if they choose to get into details why or not. They just have to be as offensive as possible about it in every possible place and mention it all the time. Like, we get it. You don't like stuff.

Other side of the problem is also bad. I mean, blindly praising stuff as the best in the universe, seeing absolutely no flaws in it and being offended when someone politely points them out. It's like people just can't meet in the middle. Why does it matter to them so much if random person on the internet likes/dislikes stuff they hate/love to the point of making fools out of themselves. >_>

On topic of indie bands, being too hateful on them makes no sense to me. Waste of time and energy on something that will either become big or disband within a year.

Am I the only one, who's not surprised? They've been releasing way too much, their music just sounds the same all the time, it feels like they're out of new ideas. A break will be good for them, because they've been too busy with shit. I highly doubt they would announce a hiatus if they were going to disband, stop being such drama queens.

OP, notice the difference between the troll comments and personal opinion. I noticed many of these people just want to troll, because it's currently cool, or they dislike the fanbase of a certain band. Also, many fans just can't stand any form of criticism about their favorites, which isn't a good thing, either. Unless it's a troll, then simply ignore it, because they will say anything to keep provoking you.

I actually think that obsessive fangirls and people being rude to each other during the concerts is a bigger problem than some comments on the internet. We all can have our opinions, but we shouldn't do hateful and annoying shit to each other in the real life, since the group of fans is getting smaller and smaller.
