Ra'jah is my least fav contestant this season, which Scarlet's elimination had no bearing on. In general, she just seems to spit out recycled catch phrases, gives angry DrAmA ConFeSsIoNaLs about shit I don't care about (and clearly no one else does either, because it never goes further than that), and now is trying to start calling out people on Twitter to boost Engagement🌐™
 
 
Also, Vanjie is clearly just cruising at this point. That gold bunny look was fucking l a m e.

I'm somewhat knowledgeable of Kanadajin myself and I'm pretty sure she was never a bangya.

I was just starting to like Scarlet, and now they send her home? And after that lip-sync? Ro'ger should have gone home, I'm just not interested in her anymore, like gtfo already! She's probably fucking a producer if she's gotten this far after being in the bottom so many times and not delivering in the lip-sync.

Nooooooo Scarlet was so charismatic in her lip sync  Yvie is amazing, she didn't turn her condition into a sob story and delivered it despite everything. I hope I can see her live at least once before she inevitably retires

Seriously though I haven't been following but just watched the lip sync and they both deserved to stay. Rupauls words seemed cryptic so maybe she'll come back....hopefully?...maybe..?

Scarlet's elimination is a travesty. She slayed Ra'jah in the lipsync, Ra'jah was in the bottom 3 times (and hasn't done anything noteworthy otherwise), and Scarlet was a consistently improving queen from day one (with a win under her belt). Don't know how they even justify that. 
 
I think they're pushing a Ra'jah as villain narrative in the production side or something and will try and find some way to bring Scarlet back from a storyline angle or something. Just seemed off.

I actually read this entire article about... I wanna say two years ago? Anyways, for anyone who didn't read the whole thing, the author basically talks about how this girl was so into VK that she couldn't actually live a functional life. Like, she was losing sleep, refusing to socialise, physically injuring herself... which just goes to show that the worst part of any fandom is the fan. VK isn't the problem; it's fucking weirdos like these who can't even juggle basic human reasoning skills with something that's just meant to be a hobby. The woman in this article is insane. If I were her friend, I would rehabilitate her before she killed herself, intentionally or accidentally.
 
Absolutely disgraceful. Makes the whole fandom look like a bunch of meth-heads. My heart goes out to her if she's accepted help for this, because let's be real - she clearly has some sort of mental disorder - but if she's really embracing this and trying to make this emblematic of the entire scene, then I'm just appalled. I know this pretty strongly-worded, but someone had to say it.
 
Also, before anyone tries to correct me on this, I know that this kind of thing does happen sometimes, but what scene doesn't have its psychopaths? I just hate it when people try to lump us all together like this. This is why people get shy about being into things like VK/J-rock.

I looooved Karekano anime! But yeah, apparently there has been some issues with the original team, I remember hearing most left at some point and therefore the anime taking a... strange route. Still a great anime that I remember fondly. I've been meaning to read the manga as well.

kare kano anime. i've wanted to watch it for years and when i finally did last year in a fit of nostalgia i realized it was dreadfully boring near its end...actually the majority of the second half really. it started so well but fell very flat, unfortunately. i know it was never fully concluded but it was a shame.

The Fish Market-guy aka CalaTorie is definetely humour kei but these seem to really embrace what they do, imo.

Personally, I see a bit of parodic intent, but I may be wrong.
 
As for the "no overseas shipping", that's really not surprising, most of the indies I follow really don't? That's what proxies are for. Bangyas being like "no gaijin" is kind of disgusting, but also not terribly surpising.

I thought I keep it here since they haven't announced a new single yet but they're still promoting their latest release. But basically, they came out with a new look/concept and announced a new bass player.
Hakuya (ex. Malice Invitation, gore) has departed at the end of the month in order to focus solely on his project Ogyaa. New bassist goes by the name of Yuu (+悠) and was actually the vocalist for Affective Synergy and has a solo project called Ultimate Sonic (in which he plays guitar and vocals).

The fuck? From what I got, the lawyer sent the band and the label a notice to not contact Riyu or his relatives...despite that, the band wants him to come back. 😕

ヒトリエ (Hitorie) frontman wowaka has passed away April 5th due to sudden heart failure. He was 31. A funeral has already been performed, but only for relatives and friends. Their tour has been cancelled and future band activities are undecided.

How come Kerberos' bands have so much drama surrounding them lately🤔

I once made a "who is your vk boyfriend" quiz on some quiz site. Also I didn't include any of my own favorite band members in the quiz because I didn't want anyone else to get them as their "boyfriends" lol.

I use the open DM feature to reserve chekis sometimes for casually chatting with a bandguy instead.

I'll be honest, I'm the kind of person that also dislikes bands sometimes based on gut feeling. If I sense an asshole-ish aura about them, I won't get into them most likely, so I understand your feelings towards Mejibray completely. If I wanna "stan" I have to at least like the image a band portrays. They may act completely differently in their everyday life maybe, but as long as their band personas don't come out as raging douches then I'm good.
 
(ofc I check tanuki and places alike to keep up if I'm interested in them, but you know.)
 
Vk isn't exactly a wholesome scene, I don't expect everyone to be squeaky clean, but yeah, I tend to favor chill people that don't act like try-hards (if I dig their music that is)

While it is publicly known that I have a large distaste for Mejibray, I never tell anyone what kept the fires going.
It stems not so much from their crappy music (although I believe this to be true) or that their diehard fans at the time couldn't see past the superficiality, it was actually just that I think/thought they looked like giant assholes who were just dicking around and made VK look bad. In short, an embarrassment to the scene.
 
Was I wrong? Idk I never cared to check but I do know that the members still look like assholes haha.
The fact they are no more just gets a meh from me.
 
Secretly, I think a certain band I listen to felt the same way as I did too lol so there was also that.

@Gesu it is possible to enjoy things without becoming invested in the fandom. I have no contact with vk apart from MH. Even if the community here was unbearable, or certain musicians made me seriously reconsider what I'm doing with my life (the raid, gosan) it'd be simple to take what I need and go. Steven Universe's fandom is actually diseased, yet it's easy to fully enjoy the show and theories without making contact with the demented parts of the fans. Just imagine wearing a hazmat suit. Mute, block, ignore. Enjoy what you will. 

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has found it particulatly underwhelming. Perhaps it's because I'm a huge fan of Dragula, but I was expecting so much more!
 
I get it that not every queen is a "spooky" queen, but it was such an exciting chance to think outside the box and do something creative and it just... fell flat. For pretty much everyone. Really a boring runaway challenge overall.
 
Basically, same thing here, just following out of habit, but even then I often find myself forgetting about it even.
