Update: it's soooo good! I decided not to go for the default humanoid race (Hyur) and instead opted for the cute little neko weeb race (Miqo'te), and I was just playing as my catgirl gladiator for about three or four uninterrupted hours. @monkeybanana4 You were right, it is very addictive o.o also, just a heads-up that the base game is fairly expensive and after thirty days, you have to pay for a monthly subscription, although the subscription isn't all that expensive and I'm willing to support the game and its developers. Would highly recommend already and I'm only level 7

Same, I only ever played the ones up to XII. And XIII is the one with Lightning, and I believe that's on Steam now as well~ I never had a PS3/PS4 so I just kinda wait until it's on Steam, lol. Anyways, thanks! I'm sure I will, it looks fantastic.

^ @Gesu - I dated a white chick from Essex for two years, and it was interesting because she naturally adapted a lot of the slang I use (I'm from the south of the U.S.), but I was surprised because she'd already adapted a lot of the lingo that originates here through the internet, pop culture, other ppl, etc. So it's pretty fascinating how this stuff spreads like wildfire.
 
And contrary to what my comment above might imply, I don't have any issues with cultural appropriation, because I think a lot of it is natural, and doesn't necessarily take place on a conscious level.

It's really weird reading this as a Brit because I just see these as potential northern slang terms. Half my family are from the north and I kind of got their accent, so I can imagine us saying a lot of these to each other in one of our gibberish conversations X) in case you wanted to know how that would sound, just go through this comment and replace every use of the word "I" with "ah" and "my" with "me" and miss out the "g" in every "ing".
