There was like one tweet from them when the CD was released.  It isn't really insulting in anyway to the band.
Also some of the Gosan guys were Ptons former bandmates.... lol
 
There were more threats and insults from other bands fans. They KNOW this is always coming,  but issued a statement, that they will continue to do parodies and that they are themselves VK fans. I was super surprised they announced an R-shitei parody.  I know they are all really hughe fans and want to do a parody, but the Mamogya are something different. Lol. And the predicted death-threats came.
 
R-shitei and The Raid. Have also officially posted that there are funny parodies of their songs... so I guess Kaitou is mostly save from the bandoman perspective. (The labels act differently....)

I don't get the hate? His solo single was acceptable enough, and it's a free concert at a convention. I'd go if he was playing at Anime North, and literally all I know about him is that one BFN song I like and that he enjoys ice cream and crop tops.

I actually didn’t think roadster was that bad. I feel like Genki’s voice shines more there than anywhere else on the single. They’re still growing into this dual vocal dynamic; from what I’ve heard about the lives from friends (still got about a month before I can judge for myself), it is moreso Koichi driving the shows, but he looks to Genki a lot for direction when it comes to singing. So I’m interested to see where this goes when Koichi gets more comfortable including the role, and if Genki will step to the forefront more in the future. 
 
It’s not Mejibray, and it’s definitely not going to fill the hole Mejibray left behind. But even if I’m not as invested in 8P, I don’t hate it. I just want to see where this road is going to lead and how far I’ll follow it.

I can understand questions regarding the appeal of this band, because to be  honest they really didn't appeal to me much until around Toxic. By the time of Beautiful Deformity I came to see that they're actually a decent band with some good ideas and a desire to keep pushing their music in new directions. I'm still not on board with everything they do (the really early stuff is so sloppy  and limited compared to their later material, while Dogma didn't grab me a great deal), but now I consider them one of my favourites. Really enjoyed Ninth.
 
Having said that, I'll shed no tears if they announce that the drummer isn't going to be writing any more songs... But that's just me ;)

I also think Genki's smiles look EXTREMELY FORCED on all their promo materials!
Koichi looks akward,  too.

Multiple releases.... web-shop/live limited stuff.... just making it hard to get things...
 
I used to like bands like that and it took me forever and the help of lots of friends to get my collection... also some things I still don't own because of this... 
 
So yeah, they only want to milk their fans!
 
So when I started to like Kaitou Sentai I was honestly super surprised! They are the biggest indies around, but had a super large youtube chanel, they had 2 physical buppan-limited CDs, but all their songs were also on a super cheap album on international amazon (14 songs, 6€ !?!). So yeah, physical copies are hard to get, but they do digital releases with everything they publish. The new songs that are actually released in CD stores are also up on digital stores and what surprised me basically the most was that they release full MVs of their new singles on youtube weeks/months before the CD gets out... 
 
Super unusual move, but it does prove that if you are making music for fun/enjoyment you can do it, too! And you can make your music accessible for everyone. They have been around for ~3 years maybe? 
 
So yeah.... i guess it also depends on what a band's aim is. Making quick money? Being able to live from your band activities? Just enjoying having a band? A mixture?
 
Most bands are too focused on the money aspect and loose sight of the enjoyment of making music. It sucks when they disband because they could not mobilize xxx people or sell xxx CDs.
 
If you like making music and still kind of get along with your bandmates just tone down your activities... like just do stuff on the occasional weekend.
 
I am actively boykotting merch and cheki sales of some bands I like at the moment because they are too obviously milking their fans for money...
They still get my ticket money but nothing else

The real question for me is: can Tsuzuku dance? I've never been a fan of Mejibray, so I'm kind of curious. I mean, if they're going to play this kind of music, I'm expecting some dance breaks, and somehow I doubt Koichi is going to be the one to deliver.
