    Agnostic here. Was raised Christian but my family was not too devout, and so I naturally grew out of it (in addition with my own experiences, traumatizing or just distasteful). I remember thinking many times as a child "Why won't [god] answer my prayers? A good parent would never let their child suffer this way".

     

    I don' have enough pride to say firmly that a deity/higher power doesn't exist. I'm comfortable with accepting the fact that I don't know—no one does—and that whatever is, just is.

    This is perfect for VK newcomers.

     

    My favorite MM era is tied between Gackt and Klaha. Gackt had plenty more releases and hits that put MM on the map, but Klaha era really had aesthetics locked down from the visual aspect to composition (not to mention Klaha's operatic-esque vocals are really nice to listen to).

     

    I do wish Gackt maintained his visual kei style; Mizérable is still one of his best releases in his solo career imo.

    They had some amazing compositions, but the particularly good ones were seldom ever title tracks unfortunately. 

     

    Not exactly a complete fan of Tsuzuku's vocal performance on many occasions, but it's tolerable for me.

     

    I think a lot of their 'overhate' stems from people that are very "I HATE THIS BECAUSE IT'S TOO POPULAR!!!1!!!" if you get what I mean.

    I completely ignored the "great musician" part and almost said Maria Cross, LOL.

     

    I'm going to ditto Kyuho from Madman's Esprit. I remember he was going to (or did?) sell razor blades as merchandise. Big yikes.

     

    Imo, YOHIO has some pretty solid compositions (INNOCENCE, Aggressive Beauty, Frantic Elegance, I norrländska skogars dvala, TIMESCAPE, Angel's Waltz, a majority of the DISREIGN releases), but is a stubborn person who's constantly turning a blind eye to critique and refuses to acknowledge [critique]. Also, he's been in some scandals/controversies in the past. Said scandals/controversies mostly pertain to hypocrisy, cheating and emotional abuse of former girlfriends, and poor treatment of fans. But hey, I'd be pissed if my fans were 5 year olds too lmfao

     

    edit: Just remembered that I've heard some stuff about Tsuzuku (ex-MEJIBRAY) over the years. All sources come from Tanuki so it's not very trustworthy, but there were some things about various forms of abuse floating around. I really like baby crossing, which he composed iirc.
