Euh...I really hate those opening breakcore treble heavy beats that every band seems to use and I skip. Reminds me of when DADAROMA started going into the toilet.
 
Video looks good, Ai's voice sounds unique and I love it as always, and though I prefer his low growls personally I don't mind the screeching so long as bass will balance it...
But, I REALLY hope this is just a one off that sounds generic musically. Like others, if this had a different vocalist it would be indistinguishable from 262548 other bands and I'd give up immediately.
 
It's only a short sample of one song though, so gonna believe just 1 more time lol

Things I hated:
-That kind of blast beats.already seen them a lot in vk and it doesn't fit at all.
-The bad growls that reminds me Mamireta's mediocrity
-That effect for the chorus was unnecessary 
-Too colorful,too poppy,too menhera-kei ,I expected something darker.
 
Things I liked:
-MV was very well produced
-The track sounds polished
-Eargasm with Ai's voice 
 
Not gonna lie,was kinda disappointing,but that's only the tip of the iceberg, need to check the single as a whole.

i like the idea of being half covered in flowers and up from the neck uta looks okay, but that cheap looking shirt ruins everything
also wide sleeves and skirt make mio look cool in motion but the details are awful
the other two well i won't even comment on that

It's not bad, but honestly if it was any rando band there's a good chance I'd skip over this. We'll see.

Already dropped them, however is such a waste to see Yoshiatsu stuck in this clown-kei shit concept,cuz he's an unique character in the vk scene.his cleans and his growls both are flawless. He should be doing shit like NAZARE/DIMLIM and not that.

I like the bands name and what it apparently represents,and nice to see Mei back with the Ai name as well, it almost feels like seeing memento mori being resurrected right before my eyes, never thought it would ever happen. Yokusou had a huge impact on me the first time I listened,because it was different from what memento used to deliver.With so many good musicians involved,I wonder what they gonna bring to the table this time,if it's going to sound like something off KTK discography,MM,or something completely new.

I thought the demo and EP they released in 2009 and 2011 were excellent, but their debut album disappointed me a lot. It just lacked the sheer twisted darkness they had before it. Couldn't really get into the production at all. The second album was a huge step ut but I never could get into it like I did the demos. But I tried the debut album again earlier today and thought it was really good, so I will give both albums a new, fair chance. Hopefully they'll stick better now than they did.

A band that, at their best, have been brilliant, but I can't get into everything. I like their more sci-fi themed albums like Traveller and Digital Resistance. But apparently this doesn't sound anything like those albums.
 

Amulet - The Inevitable War
 
Their debut album, The First, are a masterpiece of modern heavy metal so I cannot wait for this. Expectations are HIGH!

Their previous stuff has been alright so this is interesting. Death/black metal.

The prodution is way better and I'm glad they didn't clutter the mix as they did on Jingai. The instrumentals are decent and I dig the atmospheric vibe of some parts but the composition is rather boring and I still think Mio sounds like absolute crap. His harsh vocals kinda sound weaker than on Jingai tbh but that might be the mix.
 
 

i wonder how he sings live. i doubt that mio is able to hit all the notes tbf...like, there are really, really high notes, and in this song there is that highest one i almost don't believe he is capable of singing. 
and i see that two most popular young bands on the modern scene - kizu and dimlim - use really high notes in the vocal part, can we say that high-pitched vocals are trending now? sho is somewhat capable to sing live his part, lime clearly fails sometimes. if the bands are just competing with each other trying to impress fans but vocalists can't sing good while doing lives, i think it's not worth it. imo it would be v wise of a vocalist to rather use a narrower range but to sing perfectly.

Daiki is awesome and was super energetic when I met him, but I fear that he'll spread himself too thin across two bands. I'm guessing this was just a joke.

I think I'm just hopeful that CHEDOARA is not a "lightning in a bottle" type deal. I really want to know that these guys can continue to produce at and above that level. I think they've got it in em, but I really have no idea what to expect from the next single.

This one below is the side project from the vocalist of the spanish and phenomenal post-punk band Belgrado
really cool shit,the beats are hypnotic and cold,with her robotic and smooth vocals floating around
 

this band is so incredible that only their LOOKS gives you the excitement of some new song preview or stuff like that
SHO's gonna KILL it fuckin hard,just breathtaking. uff

I'm surprised that among all the citypop recommendations, nobody mentioned 山下達郎 (Tatsuro Yamashita) who has come out with some of the most solid citypop/synthfunk albums in the late 70s and 80s - well produced, great compositions and much less corny than most of what's come out of that genre (even though I love cheesy 80s music 😏).
 
 
 
I've also really been into japanese ambient from the 80s and 90s lately. 細野晴臣 (Haruomi Hosono) is one of the greats, I've especially enjoyed the following albums by him. Despite being really relaxing and tranquil, they have that dark edge and incorporate quite interesting instrumentation and effects. There's something about 花に水 (Watering a flower) for example that is quite psychedelic, it's mind-expanding, it reaches deep into your consciousness and lets you peek behind the curtain. Make of that whatever you will. Maybe you'll get a similar vibe!
Also, it really helped me with depression and anxiety lately.
