    Funny how early DeG, Gazette and Nightmare were capable to do really melancholic and emotional songs without sounding like a "ballad"

      this is like the "VK" "emo" phenomenon to me. so many bands really nail this at some point in their career. and its totally what has stayed with me, when bands more straightforward rock/metal vibe loses its sway with time.
