It's not for me, but that's because I'm not into pop music so whatever. I know that some people get really crazy about these k-pop groups. I don't condemn them, It's their choice to listen to this kind of music. I don't know, for me those groups all sound a bit boring, but some of the guys can sing really well. I wonder how they would sound in a rock band? That would be interesting for me.

Well there is Seo Taiji and Boys, which in the 90's, did a mix of Hip Hop, Pop, RnB, Rock AND Metal depending on how they were feeling that day lol

@Himeaimichu I think I mentioned it earlier in this thread, but the bass part around 1:39 is also from Baiser's "Damage." They use a lot of old-school vkei references in their music, but they are very good at hiding them / making them their own.

Oh definitely. It's also worth mentioning that the song Yumemonogatari also not-so-subtly uses a part from Penicillin's Chaos lol

  3. So it's no surprise Mitsuki and Takemasa reuse a lot of their old Kurara Zeroshiki and Mizelia stuff in Kiryu, but this is a pretty interesting example I noticed recently.

The chorus for "Bakeneko" seems to be a combination of elements from Yumemonogatari and Yue, which are right next to eachother on the same Kurara Zeroshiki album.

I've just realised I said "favourite bands"

    Oh my god I'm dumb

It's ok. I've had my share of worse fuck-ups and bruh moments here. This is pretty tame compared to the mistakes I used to make here lol

They always do this when they go major, their indies career ceases to exist

Wagakki Band never technically had an indies career, unless you count that really early cover of Tsuki Kage Mai Ka with Kanade from CrowXClass playing the Shamisen instead of Beni.

As far as I know, they've always been major as the bulk of their releases have been on Avex, which is pretty major

  6. Visual Kei: Kiryu, Memento Mori/Kuroyuri to Kage/Gulu Gulu, Guruguru Eigakan, Cuartet, Dir en Grey, Luna Sea, Devil Kitty, Pierrot, Mist of Rouge, and Dispina/Jigsaw.

Non-Visual: Ningen Isu, Suicidal Tendencies, Sevendust, Umekichi, Minami Haruo, Big Daddy Kane, 50 Cent, and Notorious B.I.G.

  7. Retsu just seems really pretentious. His reason for making the band no longer wear makeup was he wanted to be seen as a human. Like... makeup didn't hide your humanity in the first place but ok. I admire the work he did on Chedoara, but giving him full power is starting to backfire. Eventually, Sho and Hiroshi are going to have enough and break up the band.

why are people from this band literally bitches???

Well Retsu and Issei were both from D.I.D, if that is any explanation lol

they've literally had like 1 or 2 lives since their departures and 0 music releases. id reserve judgment until we actually hear what the new material sounds like and where dimlim go from here when it comes to their lives. 2 lives compared to 2+ years of being together seems a bit of a lopsided ratio but what do i know lol

I'm just saying what I know via. my friend's experience, since they attended one of their more recent lives. According to them, the live just wasn't as good as their others, and the only ones giving it their all were Sho and Hiroshi.

im still confused at all the know it all's who claimed retsu isnt trying or not giving a fuck based off 1 live, he might be hard headed and have other faults but ive always had the impression hes given it his all when it comes to making music. are we really going to forget the upgrade in quality of music dimlim went through when transitioning from issei to retsu lol. all u gotta do is go back on the chedoara thread and see people's reactions when they came out with Vanitas, Aijou ni tsuki, and shigarami back to back to back.

From what I've heard, Retsu mostly started slacking after Ryuya and Taishi left. Essentially, Retsu has skills, but he's gotten lazy
