(I haven't seen another thread about the album, so I assume this one is still fine)

Update about Kiyoharu's upcoming album "夜、カルメンの詩集" -- the release date has been postponed. It's now due out on February 28, instead of on Valentine's Day.

I'm including this here, since I don't really think it's the type of thing to warrant its own topic, but Kiyoharu also has a live-exclusive single to first be available on Feb. 9; the double A-side single "Aka no Towa / Tsumihorobashi Nobara"

They should throw an acoustic track in there.
 
 

A new KIYOHARU single has been announced. AKA NO EIEN / TSUMIHOROBHOSHI NOBARA will be released on 2/9, however it's limited to a live venue release  rather than a wider public release. AKA NO EIEN is the lead song off the upcoming YORU、CARMEN NO SHISU album (slated for 2/14), while TSUMIHOROBHOSHI NOBARA will be only be contained in the single. JIN OKI plays flamenco guitar on AKA NO EIEN. Duran plays guitar on TSUMIHOROBHOSHI NOBARA. Yuji Okiyama (who played BASS on Kiyoharu's earliest solo releases) and  Katsuma (coldrain drummer) will fill out the rhythm section. Single jacket has been handled by YUTARO (sads' bassist).

because they don't want to become a famous rock band like the other young bands ?! Their are a lot of old bands who are still playing at Meguro Rock May Kan or Ikebukuro CHOP.
The band is not their main job. They are still playing together because they want to and they like to.

SINNERS is now a mediocre release? Lol ok. These last two releases have been their best in a while.
 
Happy they accepted him into the band again. He deserved punishment obviously.... Have to respect the law there. But, to think that his career would be over from possessing marijuana is stupid. Serve the punishment. Shame. Whatever. But your career shouldn't be over something so stupid.
 
The band took the hits too. I believe they cancelled some tour dates and had to reschedule the Hazuki solo show? Sure it was inconvenience to everyone. So they took their lumps and it's time to move on.

Agreed. His vibrato / screamo voice he had the first two or three years in SADS is nowhere to be heard now. Whether it's from stylistic changes or an inability to do so anymore, who knows. I've always speculated that what I imagine are a pack-of-day cigarette habit over 20-30 years probably doesn't help musician stay in their prime for long.
 
Compare that to someone like Ryuichi Kawamura of Luna Sea who after a certain point in his career started being healthier and taking his voice and singing seriously. He's able to do those marathon 70-1100 song concerts and did some mic-less ones and his voice still sounds pretty damn good. It's a shame that his solo work leaves much to be desired.

This single is now their best selling single. It's also charted longer than any of their previous singles.

Although the opinions here are lukewarm on the single content itself, let's put that aside for now... They haven't been able to top MIRRORS in sales for 6 years, and they've done it with a release whose premium edition was essentially a full-length live blu-ray with a bonus single attached -- this is pretty impressive because DVD/BD sales are usually harder to push.

With their top single being their most recent and their top 4 selling albums all being from their return to their more visual kei roots in 2014 onward (AVANTGARDE, GALLOWS, D.A.R.K., SINNER-EP) they've really made a comeback after their slight downturn in 2012/2013.

I don't know Sugizo's work that well, but it all sounds like something I could listen on a snowy evening with hot cocoa. I like the art, too.

Sounding great. Didn't realize the KIYO song was just a cover of VOICE from the C:LEAR & COSMOSCAPE albums. And I'm guessing Rebellmusik is a cover of Raummusik. The beat sounds the same.

Awesome...I'm looking forward to Elegy now~ It might be the first Kiyo album I purchase new since Vinnybeach.
(So many of the albums after that one ended up in Book off NY on the cheap used a mere 6-12 months later)

Kiyoharu has announced 2 new albums today. He has switched over to Columbia's TRIAD label.  The first new album is a RHYTHMLESS album called 『エレジー』 (ELEGY). It will be released on December 13th. Here's the jacket:
