I don't mind harsh vocals in general, but in LIQUID VAIN, they sound pretty sloppy. I've never actually given BORN a proper listen, btw.

I have to agree a bit thats one of the things im starting to dislike about ryuogas works now he would but a random part in a song that doesn't even fit and it would just kill it. He does it in some songs rarely but still there. Also you should honestly born was amazing one of the most iconic works he has. Whenever you get the chance it is worth it. I suggest "Independence Black" unless you wanna start from the beginning up to you.

  2. I honestly take a different approach to answer this question. I've honestly truly thought about it in the back of my brain and if it weren't for visual kei i would not be here. This music has motivated me a lot even tho sometime i cant even understand it.Back when i was 14 i picked up visual kei and im 20 now taking a look back at the days i didn't have visual kei i honest hated it i was like a lost puppy. I tried out rap and never really liked it i hated country but metal seemed to be a good thing for me first ever band i started with were iron maiden, megadeth and disturbed but as i grew deeper and deeper into other metals (english related) i got really really bored of the same Crazy high pitch girl squeals and cleans that some people found cute and its so good but its only is good for a while then it get repetitive releasing the same things over and over. Later i realized there were some bands that weren't that but only a select few. I took visual kei as a shot in the dark i honest tried it out at first i was like wow this is good but as i got to the more gorey parts and heavy parts of visual kei it took me a bit to handle because it was so much stuff being thrown at my brain like had a explosion surge of wtf and eventually i did like it a lot. What i like is Its different its not the same even tho some bands try to do that but what i do like about visual kei is that one thing its always changing and its unique. You can take everything visual kei related new or old and put it into a broader perspective. I honestly believe that Most bands have a different way of sound even if its that slight difference that makes it worth the entire song. I believe that every band has a purpose and a sense of reason its there own take of art form, creativity, and expression. Yea you gonna have those bands that will do dumb sht or try to copy but those are those bands and i know there are a a bunch of other bands that are unique in its own way love it or hate it. People have there opinions on a lot of things and thats just life. The beauty of visual kei is there are a lot of people that have there own ideas to express and art and they do it singing and playing. I will never grow tired of visual kei because of these facts. I feel that it will stay with me until the very end.

I like LIQUID VAIN, but those harsh vocals kinda ruin it for me.

Its a bit expected from the vocalist if you look at his previous works mostly ex-born related. My opinion if you like born your probably gonna like razor too but there has been some people who are a bit split in that field between born and razor. Most like born and razor some just like born and have disagreements with razor but still like it. Overall a solid band id just like to see them not use monotone tho :/

"Imperial City" is also one of the best pieces of music I've heard

I have to agree imperial city is one of the best songs they have to offer about this band. Masaya has been on my list for the top most unrated vocalist and I really believe that imperial city mainly puts him on this list. It really shows the vocal range this guy has and also kinda reveals what future things on what to expect from things going into the future. A really amazing band very balanced that i will always remember and look forward too.

  6. Whats with the guy in the back with the silver hair he has that look on him like the picture was about to be taken and he just shut his eyes because the flash was too bright for some awkward reason i dont mean this in any offensive way at all. I also agree this is beyond cheap. its meh :/ hopefully they sound better then they look

  7. I have to agree with you on most of these opinions. I really hated 2015-2016 it was one of the worst years for visual kei in my opinion with a lot of disbandment and thing. With that not i honestly agree with you on most of these but adding to shounenki and born really quick. Born i feel a little conflicted on there last release and son of a b*tch mainly because they sound different from all the others if you look at Independence Black compared to it idk if its just me but every song has a different feel from what im used to from born's older stuff same with Son of a b*tch. Not saying that there bad but just a different sound from there other stuff overall still an amazing band but probably really did have some problems with musical differences and in a way i did saw there disbandment coming but i didn't expect it when it came the timing on when it ended. It ending on Suicidal Market was a fair single it wasn't there best neither is there worst of singles its just average in my opinion and  in a way makes sense.

Shounenki is perfect but its hard for me to understand why they disbanded with such a good vocalist and amazing combination of sounds its almost scary probally its becuase i forgot the reason but The only single i do find different honestly is GazeruBabel mainly that song despite it being a good song i did find a bit of a difference with it.

Overall nice job of the reviews of this i like this a lot. It would be interesting to see more reviews on other bands.
