The episode was great, IMO. I don’t care if I spoiled it by seeing it early, I’ve had a god-awful terrible few months, so I’m good loll. The only complaint I have is the ending theme isn’t nearly as good as “Ride on Shooting Star”. Here’s hoping the ending theme for the “Progressive” sequel is more up to par.
 
 
And it just hit me like a ton of bricks: I was there when FLCL first aired on Adult Swim (I just turned 8 then). Now when the sequels come out, I’ll be 23. Goddamn how time flies.

Now, supposedly funded by Adult Swim we have a sequel coming out sixteen years after the original.

小林写楽 (Kobayashi Sharaku) (メトロノーム (Metronome)) & 桜井青 (Sakurai Ao) (cali≠gari) new unit, "ヘクトゥ" (Hector) has formed and they will hold their first live on June 28 where their first demotape will be distributed.
 
They will also distribute their first CD on July 14.

Metronome recently announced that they'll apparently be releasing a new full-length album titled 「廿奇譚AHEAD」in July. 
The album will come in 3 different types, CD+DVD (5000 yen), 2 CD (4000 yen) and CD only (3000 yen).

I think by the time the guy arrived in Japan, Diru were already a major band. I think I read somewhere in his blog that he was really only interested in the underground indies guys.

FUCK AKB! There’s, like, 200 of them and they all have the same personalities. Not to mention that they’re only popular because 85% of their fans are creepy, middle aged Japanese salesmen who fap to their favorite girl. And that’s another thing. How can you have a favorite IF THEY’RE THE EXACT FUCKIN SAME?! And how can they be the third best selling artist of all time?! I’ve talked to tonnns of Japanese people who know of AKB, and  few strong fans as well, and not ONE could tell me their favorite song. It’s all a matter of 200 cute Japanese girls fellating pickles on their PV’s that sums up their success. Fuck ‘em.
